I stopped and looked around,
"Itashi did you hear that" he nodded and gestured for us to move into the tree tops. We climbed the trees and readied our weapons.
"Please don't hurt me, please I don't want to die" a girl said as she was thrown to the ground. Four players in gray cloaks and masks that looked like skulls surrounded her, two of them had maces, one had a battle axe, the last concerned me, he had a cleaver that had a Damascus type design to the blade. I looked to Itashi in the tree across from me and gestured that we should het involved and help her, he nodded.
"We'll do more than hurt you" the man with the battleaxe said as he licked his lips.
"You got the last one Noromi, its my turn, hold her down" the other three held her down as the man with the cleaver got closer tp the girl as he raised his cleaver. I motioned to Itashi to follow my lead.
"I'm gonna enjoy this" the man with cleaver began to swing his cleaver down. I threw my trident into the ground by the girl's head blocking the cleaver and jumped onto one of the guys with a sword. Itashi followed shortly after jumping down with a heavy swing of his sword into Noromi the man with the battleaxe.
"I do believe that is enough guys" I said as I pulled my trident out of the ground, "I agree Midnight" Itashi yanked his sword out of Noromi's back and kicked him down. We surrounded the girl to protect her.
"Look guys we got a couple of heros here" they all began to laugh and get closer.
"Well Itashi, looks like we aren't getting out of this one" I smiled as I stepped into a fighting stance holding my trident high, " Seems so my friend" Itashi got into a low fighting stance. The swordsman got in front of me as Noromi and the man with the cleaver got in front of Itashi.
"Are we gonna fight or just fucking stand here" Itashi yelled to them. The swordsman rushed towards me, swinging their swords swiftly. I stepped back and jabbed their swords down and twisted the trident to yank their swords away. I swiftly lifted my trident and stabbed one of them putting him to the ground. I looked over to see Itashi was only fighting Noromi, the man with the cleaver was gone.
"Itashi how you holding up" I twisted my trident to finish one of the swordsman off, as his health dropped and he shattered into dust, his teammate turned to run away.
"Oh no you don't" I threw my trident into his back as he ran, "I've got questions for you asshole" I ran towards him and stepped on his back grabbing my trident to keep him held there. Itashi walked up beside me, "Cleaver guy got away" he put his greatsword on his back, "We turning this guy in" he gestured to the guy under my trident.
"We can try but first question time" I twisted the trident a bit, but something caught my eye, "Itashi, look and see what's on his arm" Itashi knelt down and revealed a tattoo, Laughing Coffin, "I take it back, we aren't turning him in" I took my trident out of his back and impaled it into the back of his head. He screamed as his health dropped to zero, then shattered.
"These bastards are popping up everywhere" Itashi sighed as I put my trident on my back. We walked over to the girl.
"Are you okay" I knelt down by her and handed her a healing potion, "Th-thank you" she trembled as she took the potion, "What are you doing out here by yourself" I asked as I helped her up, "I-I got separated from my group when we got ambushed" she buried her face in her hands and sobbed. I looked at Itashi, "What should we do with her" he scratched his head, "We could bring her with us, a third person in the group would be helpful" I nodded.
"First we should get back to town before the ass hat with the cleaver returns with more people" I said as I put my hand on the girl's back to attempt to comfort her as we return to the inn, "Agreed" Itashi followed behind us.
