I got out of the car as my uncle immediately began driving away with a sigh. I had just moved into town and already I could feel my anxiety growing at the thought of having to meet new people or the horror of introducing myself to the class to publicly put myself on display as 'emo kid' I shuddered at the thought before heading in, trying my best to keep a low profile.
If it doesn't work out maybe I can convince uncle to let me do homeschooling...yes that sounds like a brilliant idea. I entered the fray of the classroom quickly and no one seemed to notice me, ok maybe this will work out after all-
"Oh yes everyone please look, the new student is here!" ...why are you so cruel world...? I felt myself heating up with embarrassment as the teacher either naive to the way I was feeling or just didn't care at all. Probably the latter. She smiled and dragged me to the front "ok please tell the class your name" I nodded "m-my name is S-Shuichi Saihara it's nice to meet you"
Good going. Now they think you can't even speak properly. I sighed looking at the teacher already I couldn't wait to go home.
"Saihara has moved from a nearby town due to-" I quickly interrupted her "p-please don't talk about it" the teacher looked at me confused but agreed. I can't believe she was going to say it right out loud like that...seriously shouldn't she be required to keep quiet?
"Alright let's find an empty desk...there's one next to the avacado-"
"My name is Amami" a boy in the front interrupted "shut up rejected produce item, let's see we also have little red riding hood on steroids-"
"Do you want to die?" A girl with pigtails said and the teacher squealed a bit. "Uhh....wow we have like ten empty seats....ok so you can sit anywhere except for next to the r***** kid!"
What? Who is she talking about? And is she seriously insulting one of her own students?
"Who?" I asked and she pointed to the back to the boy I hadn't even noticed till now.
He had faded mixture of purple and black hair that once must have been more vibrant but seems to have lost color due to some kind of stress. He also hadn't even raised his head once since the second I entered class- though I would probably would have been the same.
He had large headphones over his ears as if tuning the world out...but most of all. He in a wheelchair. She really is insulting someone with a disability? That's so cruel.
"Leave Ouma alone" some tall boy with pink hair screamed but the boy didn't seem to care. I had a feeling this happened often. "All of you stop interrupting me unless you want detention or a taste of he**! Emo kid go sit next to what's her face piano freak and open your books to page 56"
I quickly ran to who I assumed was the piano freak because she had a music pin in her hair. She smiled when I sat next to her and quickly wrote a note.
Hi, welcome to our class. Sorry about the teacher she's.....well less than ideal. My name is Kaede Akamatsu
I nodded writing back
She seems to be insane to be honest, was she really insulting the kid in the wheelchair?
Yes. Sadly she has no pity on him, his names Kokichi Ouma by the way. He's really got it bad to be honest, he's blind and one of his legs got damaged to the point of no return basically.
So he wasn't born like that? Did something happen to him?
That's a real sensitive issue here...ill tell you later. It really needs detail.
Ok...
"You two stop passing notes or I'm tossing you out of the window!" The teacher screamed. But were on the fifth floor! That would kill us!
I couldn't help but after that start taking notes as I began the first day of me new school. Yet instead of staying focus on my studies....my mind kept wandering back to Kokichi Ouma.
A/N: Waiting for people to call how this is as generic as f*ck.
