I walked around the city, hand in hand with Raven. The repairs had finally been completed and now it was time to celebrate our victory and our new Queen. She was annoyed by the blindfold that kept her from seeing the dress I had hand made. Clarice had explained to me about the kind of dresses women wore for their wedding. Although demons don't have weddings and there is no need for that kind of dress for a mating, I figured she could wear one for her coronation tonight. Once we entered the store, I lead her to where it waited for her on a mannequin.

It was simple and elegant just like her. It would hug her body until it flowed once it passed her gorgeous round ass. The back was open for her wings. It was floor length and the dress an a beautiful intricate beading design. I undid her blindfold and her hand went to her mouth as she looked at it. "It's so beautiful." She whispered. "It's your dress for tonight." I told her. She gave me a kiss that I gladly accepted. I would've taken her here but we had to get ready.

Clarice then came, her sky blue Scayra swaying, "As part of this little tradition, the man doesn't see her in it until the event, so out you." She gave a shooing motion and I sighed as I left.  If I saw her in it before the event, I would probably rip it off her and take her, not caring who saw us.

I went to the palace to make sure everything was ready before going to get myself ready. I was on a small stage in the ballroom, nervously waiting for my mate. She came into the room and time stopped. The dress looked better on her than I ever thought it would. She walked towards me, as if she were simply floating. It was smooth and graceful, just like she was. I held my hand out to her and she took it. "My mate, my queen," I said as I crowned her. I didn't need to make her swear on the vows of the kingdom. She's already proven herself ten times over that she loves this kingdom and that she'll do whatever it takes to protect it. I didn't hear everyone break out into cheers, I only had eyes for the mesmerizing creature before me. I lead her to the dance floor, smiles not leaving either of our faces.

As the night went on she was eventually taken from me to go be with her sister and friends while I was with my brothers. Except Jurian who disappeared with a man through the servant entrance. He wasn't hiding that he was into men from us because he didn't think we'd approve, but because he was still coming to terms with it himself. He had only recently realized why women never attracted him when he found his mate, a stable hand who was carrying a bail of hay. Bilin is a respectable man who I know will treat him right.

My eyes went to my mate who was holding baby Axiom. Yinsy and Xan were sleeping in their chairs, oblivious to the event around them. "You think you're mate is beautiful now. Wait till she is pregnant," Jansin said as he admired his mate who danced with her daughters. Jansin looked down to his son. "You think it's impossible, but with each one, Tiya became more and more breath taking." I loved the sight of Raven holding Axiom, wishing it was one of our own. In time it will eventually happen, but for now, we will continue enjoying each other.

Later that night as the ball was winding down I took her hand and lead her to the garden. "Come dance with me," I said while leaping into the air. She smiled and followed me. We danced in the air, above our city, unable to be seen by anyone on the ground. "What more can we do in the air," She asked, mischief in her eyes. I smirked and kissed her lips, "Many things."

Our clothes disappeared and I wrapped her legs around my waist, our wings still flapping in an easy rhythm. I entered her and she moaned softly. I made love to her with the kingdom we loved so much as our bed. Her eyes glimmered like the night sky above us, capturing me once again. Our moans were carried away by the wind as we changed our pace.

After the sky, I took her to the forest where we fully shifted to our beasts, allowing me to see hers for the first time. Her skin was obsidian, her lips the color of blood, and she still fit against me perfectly. Because of her I will never be scared of my beast. Because of her, I know what love feels like. Because of her, I was no longer walking in the darkness. She was my light, guiding me through it.

Mentally we were both healing from the damage Dimo caused, and sometimes it was hard but as each day passed we were getting better. There will always be those scars, and they will hurt every now and then, but in the end we wouldn't change a thing. They made us stronger, invincible, closer.

I laced my fingers with hers as I gave her a sweet kiss, "I love you, forever and always." "And always forever," she finished before kissing me into oblivion.
