Need You
Based upon Figure 8 by Ellie Goulding
You’re like a drug that has no cure,
For though we can’t agree,
I fell for you, of this I’m sure,
Without you I can’t see.
I dare not live without your voice,
It hurts my ears to try,
You still guide my every choice,
I care not if I die.
You’ve pierced my heart and left a scar,
An emptiness that stings,
I’d chase you through eternity,
Your name my lips still sing.
Once upon a lovely time,
You promised every day,
But then you left me with my mind,
And took the rest away.
Yet still I love, and I’ll hold on,
To everything in sight,
These memories cannot be wrong,
I need you in my life.
