Trust Deceived
Based upon You’re Gonna Go Far Kid by The Offspring
Was it hard to tell all those beautiful lies?
Did it bring you great joy to hear my sad cries?
Disguises aplenty, you’ve ruined us all,
In your hate-flashing eyes even the strongest fall.
Girl, are you proud, you’ve broken my heart,
You ripped up my soul and tore me apart,
What trust you once had is now washed away,
Yet if you would ask me I’d still let you stay.
You’re potent and charming, a smile of pearl,
But the way that you act makes my lip curl.
The way that you played with my mind and my love,
Convinces me that you’re more serpent than dove.
Yes, little princess, I’ve figured you out,
I’ll make your life misery, dear, have no doubt
What pain you have given I can’t pay in full,
But I’ll light all your lies and turn your eyes dull.
So dance, oh! dance, for the ones that you felled,
And lick all the blood off the daggers you held.
