This Is A Tale
Based upon This Is Gospel by Panic! At The Disco
Listen now, for this is a tale,
For the ones who weep and the ones who wail,
I’ve seen the worst and still I spread,
Word of the broken, hurt, and dead.
Memories sweet and bitter the same,
Grinding the worries and odds to smooth grain,
It’s an elegy for the brave in heart,
The ones who misery will not depart.
They hold the secrets of trial and err,
Of falling apart they have great fear.
For once you’re lost, you’re never found,
Silence for the ones who hung and drowned.
This is a tale for the ones we forget,
Stay awake through the end if you permit,
These images of bondage and love,
While the darkening sky still sparkles above.
