We got to the restaurant and it was beautiful. We all got out of the car and went inside.
"I have a reservation under the name Winters" my dad said to the lady.
"Right this way" she said and we followed her. As we were walking by the tables something caught my eye. I saw someone who looked so familiar sitting across from a beautiful girl. But who was the guy?
I walked by him after taking a quick glance and went to my table. I kept thinking trying to put a name to the face. He looks so familiar but I just can't figure it out.
"So, hows California treating you?" My dad asked breaking me from my thoughts.
"It's good. Very warm" I said.
"We have to visit some time" my mom said.
"You should! I have a extra room in my apartment and I can show you guys around. You can also see nick" I said with excitement.
"That sounds great. How is nick?" My mom asked.
"He's good" I said.
"Hello, I'm Sofia and I will be your server for tonight. What can I get you guys to drink?" She asked.
"I'll have water. Thank you" I said with a smile.
"Great" she said with a smile.
My mom and dad got wine since I said I can drive home. I don't drink. It's not my thing.
We talked for a little bit more and we ordered our food.
"I'm going to use the restroom" I said as I got up.
I was walking to the bathroom when I passed the guys table again. I was facing him when I was walking. He was talking to someone and had a big smile on his face. As he was talking he looked up and we made eye contact. His smile quickly went away and he had a shocked face.
I don't believe it.
