I looked away quickly and walked faster to the rest room. This can't be real. Maybe he didn't recognize me.
No, he definitely did. I could see it on his face.
I got to the bathroom and I went to the sink and leaned my hands on the counter while taking deep breaths.
I can't go back out there knowing that he is here and I have to walk pass him again.
I'm glad that he's on a date though. He actually listens to me. He looked so happy with her. I hate that.
I know I'm with Nick but Grayson was my first love and it hurts to see him with someone that's not me.
A couple minutes went by so I decide I should go back to my table before my parents start to get worried.
Maybe there's a way back to my table that's not where Grayson is.
I walked out of the bathroom and I looked to see if there's a different path to my table.
Nope, great.
I quickly walked back to my family passing Grayson and not looking back. Unfortunately my seat is faced in his direction.
Why is this happening to me.
As I sat back down I saw that Grayson was looking at me. His face was blank and I couldn't tell how he was feeling.
I looked away and I went back to my parents.

Grayson's POV
I can't believe I'm seeing this. Chloe Winters is back home. I wonder how long she's been back.
Seeing her after all of these years is weird.
We haven't seen or spoken to each other ever since she broke up with me. And that was about five years ago.
I gotta say, she looks gorgeous in that dress.
"Grayson? Are you even listening to me?" Bella said while waving her hand in front of my face.
Bella is a girl I met a couple weeks ago at a bar. She's kind but she's also annoying. It's like everything is about her and it drives me crazy.
"Sorry, go on" I said while looking back at her.
"As I was saying..." I heard her say until I blocked her voice out. Am I a horrible person for doing that?
Oh well
Time went by and all I could think about was Chloe. I really want to go up and talk to her but I don't know if she still hates me. She probably doesn't want to talk to me anyways.
As Bella was talking non stop I noticed that Chloe was getting up. Her whole family was so they had to be leaving soon.
"Hold that thought" I said Interrupting Bella.
I got up from the table and walked over to Chloe. There's no backing out now.
"Hi, um Chloe? Can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked nervously.
I could see that Chloe was hesitating but before she could say anything her mom spoke up.
"We'll meet you in the car sweetie" she said and walked by.
"Thank you" I mouthed to her mother.
"What do you want Grayson?" Chloe said crossing her arms.
That's harsh
"I just wanted to say hi. It's been a while" I said and put my hands in my pockets.
"Well, hi, but I have to go" she said and walked pass me.
"Wait Chloe" I said while grabbing her arm and swinging her around.
"Yah" She said.
"Can I take you out to coffee tomorrow?" I asked nervously.
"Okay, sure" she said with a faint smile.
That made me so happy. Maybe I can get her back. I mean I've missed her all these years. All I could think about was being with her.
"Great, are you staying at the same house?" I asked.
"I am" she said.
"Okay, will 8:00 work tomorrow morning?" I asked.
"Yah, that'll work" she said with a little smile.
"Great, I'll see you tomorrow. Have a nice night" I said and went back to my table.
"You too" I heard her say, but more like a whisper.
"Who was that?" Bella asked me when I sat back down.
"She's an old friend of mine" I said.
"Okay, well back to what I was saying" she continued to talk.
