Do you know that feeling when you hear something you never want to hear? The feeling where your heart sinks to to the bottom of your stomach. When all you can think about is the love of your life hanging by a thread.
I was getting ready for bed when I got a call from Chloe's dad. It was really weird because he never calls me. So when I saw his caller Id I answered immediately.

Grayson, something bad happened
What's wrong?
Chloe, she got into a car crash, it's not good
Im on my way
I hung up the phone and I quickly grabbed my car keys and ran out of the house. I got into my car and drove as fast as I could to get to the hospital. Surprisingly I never got pulled over.
I ran into the hospital going to the front desk.
"I'm here to see Chloe Winters" I franticly said.
"What is your relationship to her?" the lady at the front desk asked.
"I'm her boyfriend" I said with out thinking.
"Okay, she's in room 376. It's just around the corner" she said.
"Okay, thank you" I walked to her room and stood at the door.
I slowly opened the door revealing a lifeless Chloe.
"What happened?" I asked Chloe's dad with tears in my eyes.
"She was driving when a drunk driver hit her" he said.
"Did they get him?" I asked with anger in my voice.
"No, it was a hit and run" he said looking down.
I walked over to Chloe's bed and I grabbed her hand to hold.
"When will she wake up?" I asked.
"We don't know yet. The doctors had to put her into a medical coma. There's no way of telling when she will wake up. Or if she will" he said while looking down.
"No, this can't be happening" I said with tears in my eyes.
"I'll let you be alone" he said.
Chloe's dad left the room and it was just me and Chloe. The only sound in the room was me crying. I don't usually cry like this but it's Chloe, I can't help myself.
"I don't know if you can hear me Chloe but I just wanted to let you know I am sorry. I am sorry for the mistake I made five years ago. If I never did that to you we would still be together and then you would have never met Nick and then you wouldn't have been hurt. I love you so much. I never stopped loving you and I just want you to wake up. Please, wake up" I said with tears.
