I couldn't believe it. I choked on my own words. I couldn't bring myself to speak at first. "It's been awhile." Lena said. I hadn't even told Christa that I had a past relationship with Lena. I panicked entirely at first. "L-Lena! U-um..." I stopped. Lena and Christa were having a stare down. I broke out in a sweat. "C-Come in Lena!" I said breaking the cold silence. "Lena, this is Christa, a friend from school. Christa, this is Lena, a uh... an old friend." "So, she's only a friend?" Lena asked. Christa looked confused. "Uh, Yeah! What else could she be?" I walked into my living room. "Well, I thought maybe-" "What are you doing here any way?" I said cutting Lena off. "Well, I moved in with my aunt. She lives a few blocks away. My dad wanted to move to Germany for business. I didn't like the idea. I heard that you lived fairly close to my aunt. Huh, who knew?" She laughed at the thought of that. It made me feel even more nervous. I still liked Lena...a lot.
"I'm going to school at Shingeki High, with you I suppose?" "Y-yeah. I guess." I said rubbing the back of my head. "I'm going home. It was nice meeting you Lena." Christa opened the front door and forced a smile. "I'll see you two at school." She shut the door fairly hard. I could tell she was frustrated. I put it to the side.
Lena tilted her head. "W-why don't you stay over for dinner?" I swallowed hard. "Can I stay the night? My aunt is always out. I know it's a lot to ask, but i'd like it a lot." I cringed in my mind at the thought of that. "Y-Yeah... I suppose." "I'll go home and get my stuff. Can you prepare dinner while i'm gone?" I nodded.
After she closed the door, I ordered a pizza. I'm not a cooking type. I waited about twenty minutes. I heard my phone ring. It was Christa. "Hey Chris-" "Who was she really?" She interrupted. "Christa, why were you so frustrated with me?" "Because, I know you were lying. Who was she really?" She was on to me. I broke out into another cold sweat. I thought I should come clean. I had a hard time coughing up the words. "Christa. You're right. Although she was and old friend. She wasn't always that." I listened. Silence. "She was a girlfriend." I paused. "We broke up because her dad didn't approve. I moved away after that." I stopped. I heard nothing over the other line at first. She took a deep breath in. "Ymir-"
