The Misadventures of Collar Beaumont

Baby Candy

Collar slumps on the table,
chin on top of his arms as
he watches Claire feed
Clarence more solid food.

He's admittedly amused
at the scene,
somehow falling deeper
in love with his wife.
Claire smiles at Collar then stands up. 

"I'll get him water."

She disappears in their kitchen.
Clarence looks up to him
with bright curious eyes
and he cries.

The man panics,
scanning the room to
find something that can
stop him from crying.

"Oh no. Are you still hungry?
Uh, mom's coming back!" 

He pats his suit jacket and
feels the candy.
He opens it and puts it
softly to the baby's mouth. 

Claire shrieks once again.
