"Aren't you going to answer that? It's been ringing ever since we got here."
I look at Tyler then back at the sleeping cheetah, "Just shut up."
He raised his hands up defensively, "What did I do?" He gave a questioning look.
I sigh and look back at him, "You don't know what's going on, so just hush."
Tyler puts his hands down and stuffs them in his pocket, "Well, then tell me what's going on." He suggested.
I shook my head running my fingers through my hair, "It's personal."
"Hey!" He threw his hands up.
I jumped back at his loud voice and hands nearly hitting my face, "Hey what? Calm your pits!" I hissed standing up straight again.
He chuckled, "I didn't mean to scare you."
I raised an eyebrow waiting for him to continue.
"Hey!" He started with the same tone again. "What happened to me practically being your brother?" He asked smirking.
I sighed and slumped my shoulders, "What does you being my 'brother'," I put up my two fingers in each hand making air quotes, "have anything to do with this?"
I sighed leaning against the window that separated us from the cheetah, "If I'm your 'brother'," He air quoted, "then you should tell me what's going on."
I rolled my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair again before tying it, "Fine."
I told him about my mom cheating on my dad and how I called her a whore. I told him I felt bad but I also felt hate towards her for being so dumb.
He nodded in understanding, "Well, that seems like a good reason to ignore her."
I nodded raising my eyebrows and turning back to the window. I looked around for the cheetah. It was no longer sleeping nor in its place I saw it last. I looked around and then slowly turned left. I was face to face with the beast. I yelped and screamed falling backwards making my butt hit the hard ground. I hear barks of laughter erupt from my right. I looked towards the hyena sound and pushed myself to my feet.
"That's not funny, Ty!" I yelled shoving at his chest.
He winced and rubbed his chest, "I believe you're supposed to call me 'The Flash'." He reminded.
I rolled my eyes brushing the back of my jeans.
"It could've eaten me whole!" I yelled again.
He laughed harder and shook his head clutching his stomach, "You're an idiot."
I shot him a glare.
"There's a window between you two. There's no way he could've clawed or eaten you."
He was right. Whatever. I was in a frightening position. "It just popped out of nowhere!" I exclaimed folding my arms against my chest.
He finished laughing taking a deep breath, "Let's go see the lions." He tried to hold back his smile, which he was failing to do.
"No. Nah, ah. No way buddy." I shook my head waving my hands in front of me.
He chuckled and nodded, "Okay, okay fine. No more scary cats. Let's go see the monkeys."
I nodded and walked along side him to the monkeys. I heard screeching of the loud animals and my eyes lit up with excitement. "I love monkeys!" I thought out loud.
"Me too." Tyler stood in front of the monkey cage and clucked his tongue.
"Don't provoke the animals." I said pointing to the sign that said exactly that.
