Lance reluctantly waved to him family as the band drove away from Lance's family house. After receiving a very short and not very polite message from Allura urging them to get back for concert rehearsals, the band figured it would better to hurry back to the hotel so they would have some sort of idea of what was going to happen at their own show. They hurried to the airport, Lance's brother Carlos offering to drive them. Once at the airport Lance and Carlos shared a usually awkwardly long hug but considering the events of the past few days the others figured they should leave the two brothers.
Once through security and luggage drop-off, the band boarded their flight, for once all of them seated together in a middle row. They weren't able to get first class or business class tickets so ended up in regular seating. Which, of course, is fine but it was definitely a struggle boarding without being recognized by anyone. They wedged into the seats, Keith and Lance in the middles while Hunk was to Keith's right and Pidge was to Lance's left. Lance and Pidge watched some cartoon that Keith had never seen but in every opening of a new episode had a familiar title displayed in flashy lettering.
Pidge and Lance danced and lip synced to the opening every time through the whole flight, though it was only a short two hour one. The opening involved various scenes involving an obnoxious yellow haired boy. And despite how Keith tried to sleep, throughout the flight he continued to sneak peeks of the show. Lance and Pidge were infatuated by the fighting scenes, every now and then whisper-yelling at each other before indulging themselves into the show again. Keith finally fell asleep, his eyes finally drooping closed as his head fell to the comfiest shoulder he had ever rested on.
He fell into a strange dream. He was on a small boat in the middle of a seemingly endless boat with a woman. The woman was covered on a shawl, but Keith had a feeling he knew her. He stared at her before speaking thoughtlessly, "Where to?"
The lady looks to her left before facing Keith again, gazing at Keith through her shawl that covered her face. "The place."
Keith nodded. He knew the place, but he couldn't remember it. But out of nowhere an island appears and the two jump out of the boat and run on the water to the island. On the island there is a man. He's very tall and has a large build. Keith knows the man too, like the woman and island, but can't remember them.
"Hello son." The man speaks, the woman walking over to the man who also had a shawl despite how it's something usually associated with a woman. Well there's no sexism or discrimination in Keith's dreams.
"Dad? Mom?" Keith asks in astonishment.
They pull back their shawls to reveal two faces, two heads. They were radishes, their faces non existent but Keith loved them. He hugged his radish parents.
"Keith, wake up, the plane landed!" Keith flinched awake, looking to his pillow, Hunk. Keith smiled drowsily, patting Hunk's shoulder before opening his belt and stepping out of his seat. After a long, awkward wait the crowd finally began shuffling out of the plane and eventually everyone got out. The band waited impatiently for their luggage, the time checking 01:30pm.
After all of their luggage arrived, Pidge called Coran to send a ride and not too long later did said ride arrive. They piled into the car, Keith taking shotgun since Lance got it driving to the airport. They chatted shortly until their arrival at the hotel where they thanked the driver and clambered out of the car and hurried to their previous hotel room where Coran waited. Coran was quick to greet them before ushering them out again, into a different car and to the concert hall where she show would be held.
