"You are in so much trouble." We turned around and when we saw the person who said that we cringed and shrunk back. It was Ms. Smith. The middle-aged woman who was the most hated teacher in the school. She was pure evil. "What were you guys thinking? You disrupted the whole hallway. It's the first day of school and you have already caused everybody's day to start off horribly!"

"Actually no one seems to be miserable. They all look fine," my brother shot back. I laughed. He was right. Everyone besides a few people who lingered around to watch were just going on with their regular business. Ms. Smith practically growled.

"To the office, NOW!" she stomped her foot. By now a crowd had gathered. I hated being bossed around.

"Make me." I crossed my arms. Red crept up her neck and leaked onto her face.

She pointed to the office and said no words. Mike laughed but he wasn't as stubborn as me. He grabbed my shoulder and nodded towards the office. I rolled my eyes but uncrossed my arms and started walking towards the principal's door, not before slapping him on the back of his head. He punched me in the shoulder and I winced. I punched him in the gut right as the principal's door opened. My brother was doubled over in pain.

A familiar face opened the principal's door. It was Nick. I froze. He looked at me and a wave of recognition rushed over his face. He shook his head and just walked back in. Mike didn't seem to notice any of the awkwardness. Nick stuck his head out and asked are you guys coming or not?"

Mike held his arm out. "After you my lady." I rolled my eyes and sat in the seat in front of the person from the bar. Mike plopped down too. The door opened and the secretary handed Nick a piece of paper.

"'Sent to the office because they ran through the halls causing disruption. They said inappropriate words and talked back," he read from the paper. "Well then. Can you tell me why you did this and who are you? Sorry, It's my first day." He folded his hands and leaned forward. His light blue eyes stared into mine. His dirty gold hair flopped into his face.

"Okay wait, who are you and what happened to Mr. Rosso?" my brother asked. Mr. Rosso was our old principal.

"I'm Nick Jackson. Mr. Rosso transferred. Didn't you get the message? Or maybe you ignored it. Not a very good first impression. anyways, that's not important. Answer my questions, now." I didn't like him as much as I did the other night.

"Hardass," I muttered. He looked at me.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" he asked. He looked pretty mad.

"I said 'hardass'. You're being pretty fucking rude," I said.

"You can't talk to me this way. I am your principal. Now tell me your damn names," he glared at us.

"Fine, fine. Just say the magic words," my brother sang.

"Names. NOW!" he practically sang.

"Okay, okay. I am bond, James bond," he said.

"And I am Ken, Chick Ken," I added.

"Tell me your frickin names!" he slammed his hand on the table. He took a deep breath. "Tell me your names." he ended quietly. I and Mike looked at each other and started laughing uncontrollably.

"...you never said please," Mike managed to squeeze out between laughter. I cackled. Mike stopped laughing for a split second. He cackled to mock me. I punched him and we both laughed again.

"You know what, you'd better tell me your name right now. I have the power to decide your future. I could write down one sentence that could cause you not to get into the college of your dreams and not be able to get the career you want. So tell me your names right now." Now that was actually kinda scary.

"Wow, wow, wow, chill. Even though you never said the magic word I will tell you. I am Michael Forest but call me Mike because we are already on a nickname basis and this is my twin sister Mia Forest. It's a  pleasure to meet you," he said. I nodded but slouched back in my chair.

"Okay. You guys have three weeks of after-school detention and a week of lunch detention starting tomorrow."

"That's not fair" "Bullshit" "You can't do that" "NO" me and mike shouted out.

"Shut up. You're lucky you didn't get suspended. Now go to your homeroom." I opened my mouth to argue but Nick, excuse me, Mr. Jackson, calmly pointed to the door. That was scarier than when he was yelling.

We got up and left the room.

"Well isn't he the kindest man in the world." my brother said. I forced a laugh. This would be a fantastic year. The frickn principal is the person I hooked up with. "Okay, here's my class. See you soon Mia." He quickly hugged me and opened the door and confidently walked in. My heart fell a little. After the fun this morning I forgot that we weren't in the same homeroom. We were twins. It was stupid that we weren't together for most of the day. It was better for him. I felt more comfortable and confident. Without him, I just kinda sat alone. I walked through the bland beige halls and turned a corner. Room 210, Mrs. Mulvey's classroom.

I took a deep breath and then let it out. This was the beginning of a new year. I opened the door and stepped in, 6 minutes left.

"Ms. Forest, how nice of you to join us. Would you like to explain to the class why you are late?" I love school.
