Chapter 19

He leaned in closer, still looking at my lips. I moved closer. My heart was racing. Noah was sweet. Justin was different. You can't compare them.

"Hey, guys! I forgot to get some water," Mikey came hopping down the stairs. I glanced over at Mikey and leaned away from Noah. Noah closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself. He rubbed his neck while pink crept up his neck.

My annoying brother fumbled around in the kitchen, getting his water and I rolled my eyes. He always messes things up. He came over and gave me a hug. I awkwardly patted his back and pushed him off me. He ruffled Noah's hair.

"Hey! You do not touch the hair. Nope," Noah shoved my brother away. Mike pretended to look hurt and sulked off. Then he turned around and blew us a kiss. His footsteps started fading away as he ran to his room. Noah and I laughed.

I pulled out the pull out couch and got a few blankets. It was getting late but we didn't want to go to bed yet. We decided to watch the kissing booth...remember that? I dozed off, resting my head on his shoulder. Tonight was a good night.

NOAH'S POV:

She drifted off near the end of the movie. Her mouth was slightly open, her chest rising and falling with every breath. Once the movie ended I turned the tv off. I pulled the blanket over us. Without thinking I leaned in and gave her a quick peck on her lips. They were so soft. I wanted to kiss her again and again. But I couldn't risk waking her up. I reached over and turned off the light.

"Goodnight Mia," I kissed her on the forehead. Her skin was soft. Her hair was beautiful. Her body which I normally thought was sexy seemed adorable and peaceful while she slept. I moved closer to her and let myself drift off to sleep next to the girl I've liked for years and years.

MIKEY'S POV:

After I woke up I ran down the stairs. EW! I saw that my sister and my best friend tangled together. Mia's head was pressed up against Noah's bare chest. 

"What the fuck guys?!" I shouted out.  When I left last night I expected that my sister at least would be mature enough to not sleep with someone on a school night. And also, ew, the couch. I'm never sitting on that again. They popped up and they looked at me with guilty faces. 

"It's not what you think!" Noah said quickly. Mia just rubbed her eyes. "We fell asleep while watching a movie. I swear that's all!"

After a few minutes of convincing, I finally believed them. After that, we had an awkward breakfast and went to school.

MIA'S POV:

*A FEW DAYS LATER*

After I finished my lunch I wanted to get a break from Maddy. She's my best friend but I couldn't deal with her arguing with the other bandmates nonstop. I went out to the football field to sit on the bleachers. Surprisingly, not many people were sitting in the bleachers. That was nice, I sat down on the bottom row. The bleachers were cool because it was a cloudy day. A storm was coming soon. I scuffed my converse into the dirt. Maybe I should stay out here for a while. I could use a break. I had a free period next. I opened up my notebook to work on a song that I've been working on. Ir wasn't going anywhere but I set myself a deadline. 

Suddenly, a ton of whoops and laughter came from behind me. It was the football team. Most of them also had a free period. I forgot about that. And guess who the person leading them was. Zac. That little fuckboy. Well, big fuckboy, in two ways.

They ran out to the field and starting tossing the football around. I put in my earbuds and turned up my music. Teenagers by My Chemical Romance(YOU SHOULD ALL LISTEN TO THAT SONG AND MCR IN GENERAL! OKAY SORRY BACK TO THE STORY) blasted into my brain. I saw my brother and Noah fight to catch the ball. Mikey practically jumped on Noah's back to grab it. Noah threw him off and my brother fell to the ground. I laughed. It's funny watching my brother the all-star athlete fail. 

"Mia watch out!" Zac the douche shouted. The ball was flying straight at me. I dropped my journal into the dirt. Fuck. Then I reached up and caught the ball right as it hit my shoulder. Ow! I looked up and saw all the boys frozen. Mikey looked scared and Noah was kind of hiding behind him. I held my shoulder and winced. Zac started laughing. That dickhead. Of course, it was him who threw it. It was so not an accident.

"Zac, I fucking hate you!" I yelled. I've been dealing with that little shit for years and years.

"Okay, first of all, you know you love. Second of all, it was kind of an accident. I meant to throw it over your head," Zac smirked. He ran his hands through his hair. Not in the nervous way that Noah did, but the cocky way that he does. Zac walked up to me. He was chuckling a little and shaking his head. 

I stood up and put my hand out. "Come one step closer and I'll-I'll do...something!" I mentally cringed. Smooth, Mia, smooth.

"I bet the only thing you want to do right now is me. And I'm open to that. It's been a long time since I've done it..."

"Ew no NEVER gonna happen. NEVER!" 

"You sure about that?" He said in a deep voice. He bit his lip seductively and took a step closer. 

"I am absolutely positive." 

"Come on, you know you want me," He murmured. The football team stood there watching. Some people were chuckling. I couldn't see what Noah and Mike's reaction were. My eyes focused back on Zac when I realized he was halfway through taking off his shirt. His perfectly sculpted abs were soon out in the open. He reached out and touched my cheek. I slapped his hand away. 

"Put your shirt back on," I turned my head away. He grabbed my chin lightly and turned my head to face him. I stepped back and tripped because of the bleachers. Luckily, but not really, Zac grabbed me before I could fall. He pulled me in and kissed me.

hello! Super sorry for not updating for a while. school started a few days ago and it sucks. I'll update as often as possible but it may not be too often. maybe once or twice a week. I'm just exhausted and its been 3 days at school. ack
