Angel on Earth

Chapter 2

POV N

I was told by some of my angel coworkers that I used to be an idol back on Earth. Honestly, I think I would  look cool being an idol, but I'm not on Earth and I believe I might never be there again. I'm sure that here in heaven is where I'll stay. Here in heaven is where I belong.

I was walking through the "Future Angel Office" with new papers done and corrected by me when Alex called me.

"Hey, N-angel, I need to ask you some questions."

"Okay, I'm almost done here." I answered.

"It's fine, leave it like it is. Jeonghan will take care of that. This is more important than adjusting the future angels that will come."

"I thought this dates were some of the most important records in all heaven." I said confused.

"Well... yes, but this questions are from the office."

"The office office?" I asked in shock.

"Yeah..." He looked around making sure no one was eavesdropping. "The office office. From the God Department." He whispered.

"Oh... then, yes! I'll follow you." I said leaving the documents on a desk.

As we left the Future Angel Office, Jeonghan greeted me with a smile which I replied with one of my own.

I was really impressed by this interview. In heaven legends, it is said that the God Department is controlled by God... literally, so it's kind of surprising that I'm being "interviewed" for that specific place in heaven.

Alex guided me to his office. I have never been here, but it's the same as the other offices in heaven: white. The only difference that every room has is that depending on what it's used and what the angel likes, he or she can decorate it considering their taste in art. Alex's way of decor is colorful, but not dark. There are only pictures on his white desk and wall art created by him. It looks great, but I prefer my room with big weird posters from Earth that have what some co-angels call "K-pop boy bands from Earth".

"N-angel, did you hear me?" Suddenly Alex's voice interrupted my memories.

"I'm sorry, Alex. I was deep in my thoughts... and I was also observing your office." I said sincerely.

"It's okay. I just want to make sure you know what this is about."

"Oh... yes. Why am I here?" I asked.

"There's been some concerns about you, Hakyeon. There are rumors all over heaven and we need to talk about it. We need to make sure that there's order in heaven as well as on Earth." He explained.

"I do not get it. I've been doing my job as I was told. I honestly believe I'm not doing anything wrong." I said desperately.

"We know. Don't worry about your job here. You've done a great job with everything, following the rules, archiving, numerating, and... I might go on, but the point is that in this seven months you've done an excellent job."

"Then... why am I here?"

"There are rumors as I said earlier. Here in heaven and back on Earth."

"I've never been on Earth since I entered my second life in heaven." I answered.

"Yeah... but other angels have."

"But that's their job. "Earthly Angels" go to Earth to..."
