That morning, I stood across a magical plane figure that seems to entrap souls in it.
It looked back at me—my reflection, the mirror.
Manipulating every movement I made and smiled alongside me.

I brushed my hair while slightly tilting my head. Repetitively stroking from north to south as I straightened my tangled hair.

I placed the comb on the table and reached for the neatly folded brand new school blazer just right beside it. I took it and gazed for a few seconds.
Life's been going on for quite some time now, hasn't it? Now that I realized, it's high school already-senior high to be exact.
Time surely flies fast.

The scent of brand new clothing tickled my nose as I put on the new blazer.
It was quite stiff, well of course as expected since it's my first time wearing it.

I took a last nice look in the mirror, making sure I look proper in all sides. And finally waving goodbye to my other self in the mirror before heading downstairs.

"Sis!" I looked over my shoulder to the boy in white school uniform standing just a few feet behind me.
"Well you're up early, strangely enough," I took a long look at his brand new uniform.

"What's that supposed to mean? I'm not a kid anymore you know," he rose his voice a little.
"To me, you're still the same person," I monotonously responded.
Rath pulled down his tie slightly, adjusting it.
"I am a grown-up now!" he exclaimed in his uncracked boy voice. "Cute," I chuckled.

"Sis! I'm not a little boy anymore!" he crossed his arms and gave off an irritated look. "See... I have left the old me behind, and welcomed a new persona to myself," he proudly proclaimed.

"So..is this like a new years resolution?"
He nodded and smiled.

"Right.." I rolled my eyes. "Don't act all cocky though and creating bedlams," I added.
Rath tilts his head in confusion.
"Bedlams? I'm not creating bedlamps, what's wrong with you?" he spurted.

It was the first facepalm of the day, couldn't have been better. As expected from a little brother who spends lots of time reading comic books.
Come on, get a novel if you want inspiration—a real proper novel.

"Never mind that. Bottom line, don't strike mayhem our new school okay?" I paraphrased my sentence hoping he would understand.
"Mayhem? You mean monster trucks?" he scratched his head.
"..hmm, monster truck mayhems? I don't get it."

It was the second facepalm of the day..
I'm baffled.

"Okay Rath, I meant, don't create trouble at school okay? Get it?" I grew tired, slightly irritated.
"Well, why didn't you say so? Of course, I'll look out for myself," he answered.

"THAT WAS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING THE ENTIRE TIME DAMN IT!"

I took a deep breath and let go of all the lingering negativities. Creating space for the good vibes to come in—well it is the first day of senior high, not to mention at a new school. I'll need to act properly and behave like a genuine mannered person.

"C'mon hurry up, we'll have to walk a little to the bus stop," I quickly wore my old green shoes.
"Coming!" Rath exclaimed, rushing towards me.

The sun glistened beautifully as the morning dew reveals itself. It's our first day to enter high school—senior for me, junior for Rath.
We moved in two months ago since Dad got reassigned here, and I refused to move at first. But now that I think about it, it isn't half bad here after all.
Just need to get used to it.

Rath dashed towards the street in excitement. On the other hand, I casually walked as I admired the morning view of the streets.
We walked together towards the bus stop not far from home. Waiting for the school bus to drop by.
