Chapter 5: Northstone Pack
“That bastard.” I mutter under my breathe as I woke up with a loud throb in my head, everything is black. I took a moment to collect my thoughts, now where was I? I groan when I realize I was at back of trunk, again and the blindfold explain the darkness. The jerk had drug me when we stop to rest somewhere in Nevada. “Darn it Eon, you’re getting careless.”
I curse at myself for being stupid. I should not have ate and drink what he gave me, but I assumed when it was time to run, it better on a full stomach then hungry. Now look where that got me. Then I notice, this was a new car, the trunk had more space and I could kiss the higher beings above when my hand came in contact with a glass object, most likely a beer bottle. I slam the bottle with all the movement my tied hand would allow me. Carefully I grabbed a broken piece and started on the rope on my hand. Thank god the guy was stupid enough to only retie the ropes on my hand and didn’t bother with the one around my chest and legs.
Apparently the higher beings had a funny way of helping me, because the moment I was starting on the robes, I could feel the car slowing down, the gravel and tire sound. I curse my luck as I work quickly as possible on my ropes. I was almost done when the trunk burst open.
“Welcome home princess.” The voice that I detest said to me, although I still love the sound of his voice, just the person I had to associate it with made me angry. I felt two hand reach for me and carried me out of the trunk. I was still working the rope silently, as if I could talk anyway with the tape over my mouth, so I pretended to be limp as if I was still drug. I could feel the coldness of the air on my skin.
“Look James brought back a dead body.” A small voice pointed out to lord knew who, as I felt myself being carried away.
“It’s not a dead body Lily, it’s a lady.” An older teenage voice reply. “Have you gone mad James. Grand-daddy will-.”
The psycho carrying came to halt when a older, stern voice echo, making all the whisper around me stop. “What have you done!?”
“Father, this is Eon Harpoon.” The moment he said my name, I could hear the whisper and gasp around me, telling me there was quiet a few people surrounding. At least by their gasp, I could feel assure that not everyone there was going to agree with him kidnapping me. I know I had to take my chances, while everyone was more focus on the psycho kidnapper, I work harder and secretly on the rope.
“You brought a Harpoon here when Jeff made it clear that no one was to touch his daughter.” As least now I knew why my father didn’t approve of this but did not help that he sent Ross.
“Father, she is my-.” Before the idiot could finish I broke free from my rope and slam my elbow at the back of his head, making him grunt in pain as his grip loosen on my legs. I pull the blindfold off and jump off him. When I land, I hiss in pain as the gravel bit into my skin through my socks. I turn around, looking for the first time where I was and all the people surrounding me. My eyes adjusting quickly, noticing that I was definitely not in Los Angeles or Nevada.
I muffle out some sound before remembering to rip the tape off my mouth and move away from the person they called James.
“Where am I?” James gave me a serious look and reach out to grab me. I move away and got ready to push away people from the crowd and take my luck in the forest.
“You do not have to be scared Miss Harpoon. No one here will cause you harm. This is all a misunderstanding and I’m afraid my son had been rough with you.” I turn to look at the older man who move to stand next to me. He looked to be around forty but I knew better, werewolves age slower.
