Chapter 7: Rescued?
I bit him. Yes, I, Eon Harp bit him. I had resorted to biting on my attacker to save myself. My teeth dug as deep as I could possibly into his arm. He winch from pain and had to let go of my hands in order to pull his arm away from my mouth. My strength had return a little and I was not going to be bound forever to anyone without my consent. I rolled away from him and from the bed, falling butt first onto the floor of the bed. I groan in pain but knew I did not have a lot of time before he could turn his attention back to me.
I stood up, unsteady but at least I was able to stand up. I ran as straight and precise as I could to the door but stop when he stop in front of door. He was not happy. Well at least that made us even, but I did not want to wait for him to see what he would do if he got his hands on me.
“That was not nice Eon.” Funny, as if he was ever kind to be before.
“Yeah…well too bad.” I said, unable to think of a good comeback. I turn to look at the open window that someone had open for fresh air. His eyes follow my gaze.
“Don’t even think ab-.” As fast as I could I jump onto the table and lunge myself out the window, smashing the screen out with me.
I landed onto the hard grass with a loud thud, at least the grass cushion me a little. I stood up and knew I had to run.
“Eon!” I ignore the voice calling me from inside and that was dangerously getting closer. I had to get away from him, one look from his eyes and my fate was sealed. It was dark and I was blindingly running around. I turn around and seeing him right behind me, I will my legs to run faster. I had no idea where I was going but wherever the moon light the way, I just ran. Then when I had thought I had lost him, I tripped.
I groan in pain, my hands had taken most of the impact, but I was sure I had sprain my ankle. I knew running was no longer a option, I tired to crawl and find a place to hide.
“Eon, are you alright.” I gasp and tried to crawl away from the voice. “Stay still Eon. Your hurt.”
“Don’t act like you give a shit!” I shouted and would not allow him to help me up from the ground. For a moment I thought I saw the eyes of a wounded and hurt puppy on his handsome face. If it did, it quickly disappear and was replace with one hard face.
“So you rather be running around like a lost ghost than be with me.” He said and reach out to help me stand up. I pull away.
“Yes, I rather be anywhere but with you.” I spat at him and his eyes darken. His grips on my arms tighten, but he did not pull me up. He pin me down on the ground, I winch in pain as my head hit the ground. A dark smirk form him his face and under the moonlight, I shiver in fear.
“I bet I can change how you feel about me.”
“Let go of me!” I shouted and he quickly brought his lips down on mine. He was strong and I had spent the most of my meager strength running away. The kiss was ruthless, a kiss to show off his dominance over me. I was struggling so hard, I didn’t even notice when the sound broken of a tree twig was heard. He pull up his head to look and I was still occupied trying to push him off me that I didn’t notice the gun pointing at the back of his head.
“Get off my daughter.” I know the voice. I turn to look and I could have cried. It was my father standing under the moonlight. I had never thought I would be so happy to see my father. When my kidnapper did not make the motion to move away from me, my father growl. “I won’t repeat myself again Jarven. Get off my daughter.”
