Tears filled my eyes from the pain from my ankle. I didn’t even dare to crawl. James ran to my side.

“Are you alright?” I was half expecting that he was going to yell at me but I was surprise he looked genuinely sincere in his question. I was not expecting this at all but it did not mean that he off the hook. I still blame him for all the misfortune falling on me. He move towards my leg and touch my ankle, I hiss in pain.

“I’m sorry.”

He was gentle while carrying me up from the ground that I almost, I said “almost”, made me forgot that I needed to escape from him. I allowed him to carry me into the house. He sat me down on the sofa. I watch his movement for anything suspicious but all he did was light up the huge fireplace and brought ice for my ankle.

“Don’t try that again Eon. I don’t like it when you hurt yourself.”

“Why did you bring me here?” My voice was low and cautious and he look at me, he knew his answer would determine my next course or rather series of actions. He reach for my hand and I pulled away. His eyes look hurt when I did that and it almost broke my resolve to not pity him and reach out for his hand.

“I want us to spend some time together. To get to know each other.” I look at him, trying to decipher if his words were genuine or not. I could not tell.

“People normally get to know each other by dating, not kidnapping.”

“I understand Eon but our circumstances had not allowed us to start out normally. I have been looking for you for a long time and frankly I admit when I did find you, my actions were rash. But I will not lie, you are my mate.”

“Your words justifies nothing.” I was not going to go easy on him. I still needed to escape and right now, the best way to do that was to get him to trust in me. He look at me, thought for a moment then sigh. He threw his hands up in the air.

“Okay Eon. What do I have to do to ensure that you will stay here with me?” I did not want to stay here with him and it was not good that be could simply bend my will to his wishes. Also my physical body was not in ideal condition, my leg needed at least two days healing before I could even think of out running him. I told himself to be the smarter person and plan accordingly. First I needed him to corporate with me. I cross my arms and thought slowly before answering.

“You have to promise you won’t do anything tome.” He look at me, then rolled up as he thought of my proposition to him.

“Won’t do anything to you, is a bit vague? Define it in details.” I could not believe he really want me to say it out. That bastard, I thought, he actually thinks he could say no.

“You have to promise that you won’t force yourself on me.” I needed to be smart. I was not his match and frankly after sizing him up, I did not know of anyone close enough to be his match. If he choose to use force there was no way to escape. My only hope was for him to promise to do nothing and pray he follows his words before I could find a way to escape. I guess the promise was a hard thing to do because he thought for a while before nodding.

“I promise I won’t force myself on you, unless you ask for it.” I rolled my eyes, did he really have add that last part. “So will you trust me?”

“Don’t get ahead of yourself mister. Trust and staying here are two different topics.” I was not going to let him cross any boundaries. I had to hold out until someone finds me or escape on my own. My tummy rumble and growl. I look at him and he looked at me. He burst out laughing and stood up.
