Chapter 11

Should I tell you how glad I was that he had kept his words? Or rather, how lucky he was that he had enough self control? Else I would have had to become a murderer. I haven’t yet figure the details, but I’m sure when the time comes I’ll know what to do.

I had spent the first two days ignoring him as I bided my time planning the perfect escape route. Which faiedl miserably because he felt a constant need to be beside me twenty-four seven. It was getting dangerous being around him. The longer I stayed with him the more my wolf instinctually wanted to be closer to him. Worst of all was that my wolf instincts was resurfacing, something that had not happen for the last ten years.

Right before I enter medical school I realize that I had completely lost communication with my wolf. At the time, I didn’t mind it. I was too busy. I couldn’t put my finger around the reason why, though I should admit I have already found the answer as to why my wolf was resurfacing but choose to ignore it.

James was dangerous, he was slowly changing my whole world. What scares me above all is that possibly he could also be changing me. But my strong pride would not let me, I was not going play victim and quietly fall into his trap. As much as I was drawn to him and his sweet smiles, I just didn’t know who to trust anymore.

I could hear heavy footsteps in the hallway. There was only two people in the house along with me, and I seriously doubt it is Eda coming to wake me up. I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep, hoping he would go away. Although the thought of seeing his smiling face first thing in the morning didn’t sound too bad.

I could die from laughing, he thought he was being sneaky. I held back my laugh waiting to see what he was going to do. Bastard I thought, he was just waiting for me to put my guard down before he strike.

I was sleeping on the end of the queen size bed, with my back to the middle of the bed. I could hear him kneel down on the ground next to the bed, the hardwood floor creak under his weight. I expect him attack me while I was asleep but strangely enough, even though I could feel his eyes on me, he did not touch me. What is he doing? I wonder but didn’t open my eyes. I wanted the element of surprise to be on my side when he attacks me.

What am I thinking? Did I actually wanted him to attack me? Or did I just want a reason to hate him? Him going back on his word would definitely make me hate him, solidifying him to a image of a heartless bastard. NO! I don’t need a reason to hate him, I should hate him. He is the reason for all current trouble in my life.

Pulling me away from my overwhelming thoughts, I felt the light touch of his fingertips on my face as he brush away my loose hair away from my face. What he is doing? I kept asking myself but kept telling myself to hold back. I don’t know if I was too tired from staying up all night to make sure he wasn’t going to attack me or my wolf instinct was taking over, but I let out a deep sigh in contentment when his finger trail from the bridge of my nose to my lower lips. His thumb linger only a second before he retracted his hand. I was waiting for more of the electrifying feeling when he touch me but it never came. I heard a quick clatter of dishes, followed by the footsteps and when I couldn’t him anymore I opened my eyes.

My hand went to touch the area he had touch. Darn it, I shook my head. Don’t do this now Eon, you not a little teenager anymore. I will not be swayed.

“He is only keeping his words because he wants you to stay here. Don’t be fooled.” I told myself. I needed to come back to my senses before I fall into his trap any longer.

I pulled the blanket away to get up and notice what was on the bed stand. He had brought me breakfast. I open my mouth in disbelief when I noticed he even put an extra serving of bacon for me. On the side was a note.
