Crap! That was it. He just asked Melanie to meet him up. Melanie might have got it all wrong. He was going to confess to Melanie how he is really feeling. This is the worst scenario possible seeing how excited she was this pass few days. She must be definitely thinking that I lied to her all this time. This couldn't be happening. I called Liam. It went straight to voice mail. Reason for lying about going out of town is so clear now. He knew I would not let him do this. I left a message to call me as soon as he gets it. I didn't know how she would react if I call her now. But I had to try. I wanted her to know, there's nothing going on between us. She answered when I was just about t give up trying.

"Mel.. Melanie I-"

"Hello... Yumi. I'm sorry I should have...um... I should have.... I shouldn't.... err... I'm outta words. I should-" Melanie's voice was trailing off.

"Mel, are you okay? Hey are you drunk?" I could answer that myself because she has only got drunk once and I still can pick the tone of her voice "Just tell me where you are? Is Liam with you?" it would be a relief if he was. She's not the kind of a girl who does clubbing and drinking and stuff. Tia would have come around but Melanie would not.

"No Liam is...or god...my head is burning...did he-" it was clear that she was too drunk to form such a simple answer.

"I'll come and get you okay? Just stay where you are...and please don't do anything stupid. Do you hear me?" I doubt she heard me. There was too much noise wherever she was.

"Mel? Are you there?" her line went dead. I was already in the parking lot. As soon as I recognized Liam number on my screen, I was furious. "What the hell is wrong with you Liam? Are you out of your mind?"

"Mayumi?" I couldn't stand is voice even.

"Where is Melanie?"

"I don't know. I offered to drive her back, she said that she needed some time alone so I-"

"Of course she did. Great...you are truly... I don't know....god..." my whole body was trembling.

"She seemed fine when-"

"Liam. She's not fine. Not after what you've done.... Where are you?" I couldn't stand still.

"I'm on my way to see Travis. What are you talking about?"

"Meet me at the parking lot. You have to come with me. You need to see her right now and define how fine she is" I ended the call before he made any stupid assumptions. If it was Tia I wouldn't be this terrified. Tia was born and raised in New York. She knew how to handle herself in such occasions. Melanie is more like me. She wouldn't be able to handle even single tequila. I knew it for sure. Wherever she is I know she's not in her right senses. I couldn't believe she acted this irresponsible. Liam's Viano pulled in. I jumped in to the passenger's seat.

"Where is she?" Liam asked pulling back in to the road.

"You tell me" I glared. But I had no time to get mad at him "I don't know. All I know, she is too drunk even to answer that." I said.

"Drunk?" His eyes went wide. He knew her almost as much I do. He could understand the length of risk I was talking about.

"Can you guess where she might be? I don't know where to start?" as I was talking Liam pulled his cell phone out and start dialing. "She is not conscious enough to answer-"

"I'm not calling her. Tim works at Top-Tandy. It is the nearest club from where I dropped her off." I remembered Tim from the band. He turned the speaker on, in each ring I wished she was there.

"Hey man. I'm at work. Can you call-" I barely heard his voice through the noise.

"Tim, is Melanie there?" Liam asked without wasting a second.
