Amberrain blinked her eyes open to the bright rising sun. She went to get up when she realized her tail was under a boulder. Amberrain slammed her body into the boulder and pushed as hard as she could but it wouldn't budge.

"Great Starclan!" Amberrain hissed.

Amberrain reached for her dagger and took a deep breath in then pressed her dagger down on her tail. She held her jaw from a yowl, in case anyone would hear her.

Amberrain quickly compressed the nub where her tail had been. Then rose to her paws.

"Tigerslash!" Amberrain called quietly searching among the rock fall.

Amberrain pulled up rocks and boulders calling and beginning to worry. Not about Tigerslash but about the bag full of food.

Amberrain hissed in frustration looking faster inhaling any scent she could get. This ruined her plan of trying to finish off the game with out the group.

"Here," a voice croaked.

Amberrain perked her ears and let out a breath of relief. She followed where the sound came from to three boulders with only a paw sized hole. Amberrain pushed and slammed her whole body against the hard rocks until she was dizzy.

"Go get Shrewtail and the others," Tigerslashs weak meow came.

Amberrain unsheathed her claws in frustration, but then thought.

I can get them and take the bag. Once I get back to camp I can rob them too and leave during the black of the night.

"Alright Tigerslash hold on!" Amberrain called before bounding back towards camp missing the swish of her long tail.

"Eat!" The she-cat ordered.

Goosepaw blinked open his eyes to the warm smell of squirrel, but the pang of his absent leg made him wince.

"If you're in pain drink the moss," The shecat instructed and rose to her paws.

Goosepaw blinked his eyes too wary to talk to her. Even though the shecat had helped him he was still worried she would try to kill him, but he lapped from the moss.

"Alright I'll be back," Cloudfern meowed and began padding away.

" No don't leave!" Goosepaw found himself shouting in fear. Being with another cat was still better than being alone no matter if she was going to kill him or not. Especially since his leg was gone now.

"I'm going to find the Dreaders, they have a cat who's got medicine cat experience. He can make sure you don't get infection ." Cloudferns voice was as soothing as a queens.

That's where Goosepaw thought.

This is an arena where every cat dies but one. This she-cat didn't have to help him, in fact it was pointless but she was doing it.

"Okay," Goosepaw found himself whisper.

Cloudfern came over and rubbed her muzzle against his ear, then turned and walked away. Her white tail tip vanished into the ferns and she was gone.

Shadowfur woke to the sound of a bell. Her heart rushed. From above a silver cylinder fell from the sky into her lap. Shadowfur opened to see what she has been sponsored. Inside was a net, a large net. Shadowfur pulled out the card from under the net.

For Shadestripe.
Thank you,
His mother

Shadowfur felt a fire begin to burn in her. The image of Shadowfurs wide fighting dead eyes filled her mind. Anger surged through her and she rose to her paws ignoring all the stinging pains in her body.
