Mousesnarl sat out by the Cornicopia under the night sky on watch. The tributes who had died had already appeared in the sky. Barbwire and Ripplenewt had been snuggled together as they drifted off to sleep and Hailscar had stuffed his mouth with fresh kill before passing out near the warmth of the fire.

"Hey," a voice sounded behind Mousesnarl.

Mousesnarl turned around, the end of her ponytail nearly slapping her in the face.

Before her stood Ripplenewt in a bashful posture. His brown eyes almost black under the dark of the night sky.

"What do you want?" Mousesnarl grumbled turningback around looking out into the desert.

"Why do you think I want something?" Ripplenewt chuckled.

Mousesnarl felt her skin crawl and shot Ripplenewt a side glare. She tried best to just ignore the fact the tom was there so she could focus.

"It's beautiful out tonight," Ripplenewt meowed in a tender tone.

"Yea why aren't you spending it with your little mate you have there." Mousesnarl nearly giggled at her joke but her facial expression remained dead panned.

"What? Barbwire? She's not my mate hardly. Just a she-cat who wants to keep warm from the cold." Ripplenewt meowed his breath closer to Mousesnarls shoulder, but she didn't turn around.

"Im sure thats what it was when your forlegs were wrapped around her." Mousesnarl shot back.

"Hey we're all going to die, probably. Just thought I'd make it more..."

Suddenly Mousesnarl felt a paw on her hip that yanked her against Ripplenewts body.

"Comfortable."

Immediately Mousesnarl elbowed the tom in the stomach and stomped her hind paw on top of his. She grabbed the forepaw that had touched her hip and pulled it over her head twisting it around before kicking Ripplenewt to the ground and pinning him with her body weight on her hind paw pointing her spear near his cheek.

"Well frankly you make me uncomfortable so I would recommend staying away from me if you want me to feel 'comfortable'." Mousesnarl hissed before releasing her pressure off Ripplenewt.

"You crazy she cat!" Ripplenewt spat as he got to his hind paws rubbing his foreleg.

"No Barbwire is a crazy she-cat. I'm sane," Mousesnarl meowed.

Ripplenewt padded away back to the cornicopia glaring back at Mousesnarl. Thats when Mousesnarl realized how easy it was fro Ripplenewt to manipulate Barbwire. She had to inform Hailscar that not only her blind eye was a weak link but also her mental situation as well.
