Starlingmask had left the pond to 'hunt', but he wasn't planning on hunting. He was going to find the Dreaders and lead them there. They might spare him if he did and get rid of Lilytoad. The she-cat was weak and Starlingmask knew he had to lie and manipulate her into trusting him so he could get her to stay. The Dreaders would finish her off and he'd be spared for a couple more days, enough to find a better hiding spot.

Wonderingwind sat near the cliff watching the sun begin to set over the horizon. He hadn't followed Stormthistle into the forest in fear of angering the she-cat even more. He couldn't completely grasp why the she-cat just refused to not kill. If all the tributes could reach in themselves and find the good they could overpower the capital. But stormthtistle proved that it'd be harder than finding a needle in a haystack to accomplish that.

Wonderingwind sighed and shook his head. He wouldn't accept it was hopeless, he just needed a new angle.

Below Shadowfur Silverstorm was perched on the same branch. Shadowfur took a deep breath and shook her head. She couldn't befriend another cat just to die. She was here just to confront Goldenscar and then she would accept her fate. However Shadowfur had an extra squirrel and the younger she-cat hadn't even moved.

Shadowfur picked up the squirrel and leaped down onto the branch Silverstorm was on making it shake slightly. Silverstorm looked as if she was going to leap out of her fur but her claws clung into the tree. Shadowfur set down the squirrel and stared off into the trees.

"We should climb higher. You don't want any cats catching you while you sleep. That is if you don't plan on trying to get down?" Shadowfur chuckled in a humorous purr.

"I can't climb any higher." Silverstorm murmured defeated.

Shadowfur glanced back at the she-cat with her head dipped down and eyes closed in shame. After a heavy breath Shadowfur picked up the squirrel and nudged Silverstorms light gray shoulder.

"I believe you can," Shadowfur insisted through the squirrel in her mouth.

Silverstorm stared back at her with wide and confused yellow eyes, but Shadowfur began instructing her how to climb. The two made their way higher into the tree, with Shadowfur guiding Silverstorm every step of the way.

Mousesnarl had caught two mice, a starling and a robin. She began retracing her steps to where she had buried the two mice. The scents Mousesnarl had come across of Barbwire and Ripplenewt earlier, were somewhat fresh so she had disregarded searching for them. They would get it from Hailscar when the returned.

Mousesnarl gathered all of her prey and rose to her hind paws holding all of her prey with ears pricked for any sign of danger. She couldn't wait until Hailscar finished Ripplenewt off and then she would finish Barbwire off. Hailscar admired her murderous rampage and Mousesnarl couldn't have her getting in her way of winning.

The sun set in pink cotton candy clouds as Mousesnarl made her way to the desert. She suddenly picked up a more fresh scent of Barbwire and Ripplenewt and felt eager to watch the two get chewed out by Hailscar. She began rushing back once her paws hit the warm sand and the Cornicopia came into sight.

Owleye made his way through the forest upset that Berrytuft hadn't let him accompany him. He could've talked Berrytuft into making him his second and then he could kill Berrytuft and rule over the Dreaders once they found a new camp. Suddenly the bushes near Owleye began to shake yellow and green leaves fell to the forest floor and Owleye felt himself tense and reach back for his dagger when a black pelt came tumbling out of the bush.

Owleye launched himself at the black pelt immediately sensing fear he pinned the opposing cat to the ground when a wide and terrified face looked up to him and Owleye recognized. Starlingmask. He immediately aimed his dagger for Starlingmasks neck, ready to make the third kill of the day.

"NO wait!" Starlingmask shouted.

"Why should I?" Owleye hissed.

"I-I-I found a perfect place where prey always is in supply with a huge pond all surrounded with strong scented bushes that won't expose you! I can show you!" Starlingmask gasped out.

Owleyes eyes widened. The Dark Forest must of sent this tom to him. This would definitely be a perfect opportunity to get on Berrytufts good side.

"Meet back here tomorrow at sunhigh or I'll track you down and end you," Owleye warned seeing Starlingmasks hazel eyes stretch in horror.

"And you only killed two cats?! With those kinds of wounds?!" Hailscar snarled.

From the corner of his eye he could see Mousesnarl enter the Cornicopia, but ignored her. Hailscar was too angry with Ripplenewt and Barbwire. Barbwire's eye was so bruised she couldn't open it and that would mean she was a weak link to him now. Not to mention the fact they let a cat get away. Hailscar could see why Mousesnarl wanted Ripplenewt dead. Ripplenewt hadn't even gotten a scratch and let Barbwire do all the hardwork.

"I can still fight!" Barbwire hissed back.

"Good! Because tomorrow you, Mousesnarl and I are all going out to kill." Hailscar snapped.

He immediately turned to Mousesnarl and snatched a mouse from her hand breaking it in half with a harsh crack and throwing the head half to Ripplenewt and Barbwire.

"Don't even try taking any canned food either!" Hailscar warned.

Snowfrost looked from Owleye to Berrytuft as Berrytuft explained the plan for tomorrow. For some reason she didn't have a good feeling about Owleye being the only one to see this mysterious cat who had a perfect camp for them. However she'd talk to Berrytuft later once the sun was fully set.

"Has Badgerstrike or Silverstorm returned?" Owleye asked in a somewhat worried tone.

"Neither." Snowfrost meowed.

"Wait is that Badgerstrike?" Berrytuft pondered as he stared off across the desert into the forest.

A tall black figure began to emerge from the edge of the forests and Snowfrost could hear Owleye breathe in. What was he worried about?

The closer the black figure came the more Snowfrost could recognize it was Badgerstrike. She was impressed he came back. Badgerstrike didn't seem like the group type, she had been sure that even if he wasn't dead he'd manage on his own out in the forest.

"Where's Silverstorm?" Berrytuft asked the tom once he was a fox length away.

"I don't know. I picked up Silverstorms scent mixed with Ripplenewt..."

Snowforst realized Badgerstrike was glaring across the cornicopia at Ripplenewt who was sharing a piece of prey with Barbwire.

"But I lost her. I guess we'll see tonight." Badgerstrike concluded before sitting down and leaning against the Cornicopia.

Biohazard traveled a ways before she found a cave near the skinny stream. She made her way inside, it was almost perfect size. It would be able to fit another cat...Sagebramble. The thought stung in her head making her dizzy. After making herself comfortable Biohazard collapsed behind the lichen cover of the cave.
