Since we have had quite a lot of Omkara's views, I think its time to show Gauri's fears, and her past. So, this may also be a little unexpected, but I am hoping you enjoy it still

Anika smiled at Gauri, squeezing her hand "You okay Gauri, you look a little pale"

Gauri smiled softly, pushing her food around her plate "I just, I didnt expect her to be here, after all these years, bumping into her, it just". She took a deep breath "I guess it just brought stuff back, for me"

Anika wanted to say that Gauri didnt need to fear anything anymore, but she knew first hand that words hurt, and they always had an impact

"Excuse me" Gauri stood up, walking towards the bathroom upon arrival she threw water on her face, her hands shaking, she looked up into the mirror

"You really gonna eat that Gauri" Laila slurred while she eyed her up and down "I dont think you need to eat that"

Gauri shook, shoving the plate away, she stood up slowly, her head down as she tried to pass the group of girls

A firm hand grabbed her arm, twisting it, she hissed "Here, take this, you may need it"

Gauri looked down at the gym pass, her stomach churned, shoving past them she ran away, toward the bathroom, opening the stall door, she knelt on the floor, shoving her fingers down her throat, she wretched

Gauri raised her hand, pulling at her cheek tearfully, she hated her body, felt so insecure about it. She bowed her head, about to make herself be sick, her eyes burnt with tears as she thought of Omkara. How on earth had she managed to get a man as good looking as Omkara?

The bathroom door opened, Omkara stood, smiling"I came to pick you up, Anika said you ran off in a hurry"

"I, uh, you're not meant to be in here" she spoke, he wasnt meant to see her like this, he wasnt meant to be here right now

His eyes ran over her body, his eyes lit with concern"You okay, Gauri" he stepped in, shutting the door behind him

How did he always know? "Im fine" she laughed

He raised his brow in disbelief "No you're not, what can I do"

"Do I look fat to you" she asked, looking away, she didnt want to see the disgust in his eyes before he answered

"Look at me"

She looked up at him, he smiled "You look perfect, as usual, has someone said something to you"

She wasnt sure why she bothered trying to hide anything from him, he always saw right through her anyway "I saw Laila, I wasnt expecting it, it just brought it all back for me"

He let out a hum, "Its not that I dont want to talk about it, I do, just not in the women's bathroom, some woman is going to come in here and get the shock of her life, so lets go, get you some chinese since thats your faviourate and talk about this"

"Okay" she concurred

Omkara sat opposite Gauri as she looked away from her food.He reached out, picking some of her food up and held it out for her

She smiled, leaning forward and ate the food he fed her

He wanted to take her pain away, she deserved so much better, he just hoped that one day she would see the beauty in herself that he saw

Gauri stilled, her eyes watering as she looked at the woman who stepped in. She swallowed quickly as her eyes met Laila's

Laila removed her sunglasses, gasping as she saw Gauri

"Dont you ever stop eating"

"Oh come on, you walk so slow, is it the extra body fat weighing you down"

"Come on Gauri, you really shouldnt eat that cake"

Omkara turned around slowly, following Gauri's gaze, his eyes narrowed, there stood the woman who had made Gauri's life a misery, her childhood bully, the horrible voice in her head

Laila walked forward, she stopped as she reached Gauri "Gauri, its been a long time" She looked over at Omkara "Your friend"

"No, husband"

She nodded smiling

Was it really possible she had forgot all she had said? All she had done? The lifelong impact it had caused for Gauri

"Anyway, I best be going, nice seeing you"

Omkara looked at Gauri, "Excuse me, Laila right"

Gauri's eyes widened, she shook her head fast

"Yes, that's right, and your name is"

"Omkara" he paused momentarily "I want you to apologise to my wife"

Laila furrowed her brows "Im sorry for calling you fat and" she stopped, her eyes teary "I never forgave myself, I wouldnt expect your forgiveness, I was immature, not trying to use it as an excuse, just know that I would never do that again"

Gauri nodded, dumbstruck as Laila walked away"Can we go home, please"

Omkara placed the money on the table and stood up

"You have to know, all those thoughts in your head, they're wrong, you're not fat and Omkara wont leave you for someone else if he gets over his personal trauma" promised Anika

Gauri gripped at the phone tightly, trying to calm her sobs so Omkara wouldnt hear her "But, what if he finds someone better looking, someone" she let out a sob

"He loves you Gauri, you remember how horrible you felt when he shut you out, well that's how he feels now, you've shut yourself in the bathroom and he knows you're crying, dont you think if he wanted someone else, he would have already found them"

"Gauri, please talk to me" Omkara banged his hand on the door again

"I have to go" breathed Gauri

"Call me back if you need me" Anika advised before cutting ofr

She stood up, wiping her tears then opened the door

"Oh Gauri" Omkara muttered sadly "Come here"

Gauri wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her head in his chest "Im so scared you'll leave me, that you'll go find someone better and I know I cant ask you to stay, because that's not fair, but please stay, please dont leave me if one day you realise you want better, please just stay" she sobbed

Omkara raised his arms slowly, wrapping them around her body, which inevitably made her cry even more"Im not going to leave you Gauri, you are all I want, all I will ever want, if anyones gonna be leaving, it will be you, when you realise that there are better men, that could treat you better than I ever could"

"There is no one that could treat me better Omkara, I promise ill never leave"

He tipped her chin up "You dont need to ever be scared that ill leave you, I would be nothing without you, I promise, I will never leave"

But sometimes, promises were made to be broken
