*Amanda's POV*
My eyes shot open and I looked at the tall figure standing in front of me. It can't be.
"Dad?" I asked.
"Amanda, is that really you?" He asked.
"Yeah daddy." I felt the hot tears coming to my face already.
"Come here." He opened his arms. I stood up right away and hugged him.
I cried in his arms. I didn't want to let him go. I haven't seen him since I was in elementary school. He doesn't look any different than he did when he left.
"You're...Here." I tried to make a sentence, but my tears were drowning my voice out.
"I'm here baby." He said into my hair. "I'm sorry that I've missed so much in your life." He apologized.
I stayed quite because I know that if I try to talk, he won't be able to understand what I'm trying to say.
"I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too babygirl." He kissed my head.
"Don't leave again." I held into his army suit.
"Not again, no."
"Good."
"Why are you here? They called me as soon as you got admitted." My dad filled me in on why he was here.
"Mom." Is all I had to say for right now.
"Oh." He got what I was going to say right away.
"Sorry, but I'm Gina, Cameron's mom." Gina introduced herself.
"Where are my manners, I'm sorry. Dad, this is Gina. I've been staying with her and her son for three or four days now. This is Nash, Cameron's best friend and my new friend." I introduced them. "And both of you, this is my dad, Carson."
"Nice to meet you, Gina." My dad smiled at her.
"Nice to meet you." She shook his hand.
"Thank you for caring for my daughter." He thanked Gina.
"It's not problem. I like her company." Gina smiled at me.
"I'm Nash." Nash shook my dad's hand.
"Hi Nash." My dad smiled.
"So why are we still here?" My dad asked.
"Cameron is in the room. I was talking to him and he tried to say something and his heart rate dropped rapidly." I explained.
"Oh, so are you and Cameron?" He didn't have to finish.
"No."
"You and Nash?"
"Nope."
"Oh."
"Cameron and her have a thing though. They are supposed to go on a date tonight, but I don't think that's going to happen." Gina told my dad.
I mentally slapped her because Nash was right there. He didn't know about the date and I wasn't planning on him knowing about it. He is already having it hard enough with me friend zoning him.
"Miss Greene?" The blonde nurse from before appears by my side.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Cameron is stable and has requested to see you." She smiled at me and walked away.
I walked into the room and saw Cameron eyeing the door. He looks so flawless, yet so broken at the same time. I sat on the bedside and studied him. I don't want him to talk if it just makes him unstable again.
"You scared me for a minute there."
"Sorry."
"It's fine. My dad's here." I smiled.
"Your dad?" Cameron raised his brow.
"Yeah. He came back from fighting."
"Oh."
"Come here." Cameron grabbed my face.
He placed a kiss on my lips.
"Am I interrupting something?" My dad came into the room.
I quickly moved from Cameron and he started laughing. I turned bright red and so did Cameron.
"Sorry." My dad backed out while laughing.
