jennie was eager to finally see lisa again today. her girlfriend has been gone for days since she had a solo event in indonesia and thailand, although jennie was utterly happy and proud about it, she couldn't help but feel all gloomy and grumpy the whole time lisa was gone. she was clearly longing for her presence and god knows how much she needs lisa beside her all the time.
they are currently at the airport where they get to meet lisa from her flight from thailand, and the four of them are scheduled to fly to japan for the continuation of their arena tours.
while waiting for their other member, they stayed at the waiting area. chaeyoung was eating, jisoo was scrolling through her phone, and jennie, well, jennie was starting to get impatient, thinking that she had been waiting for days already. jisoo noticed how the girl wouldn't stop pacing around in front of them.
"i am seriously the one getting dizzy, jen," she frowned at the brunette, making jennie sigh and run her fingers through her hair as she stopped and crossed her arms above her chest before fixing her shades.
"she's taking too long," jennie huffed, scoffing when she heard jisoo laugh.
"and what do we do about it? she'll be here in no time—"
"lisa!" chaeyoung almost tumbled as she quickly ran to the approaching girl they have been waiting for, lisa meeting her with arms wide open.
jennie turned around, narrowing her eyes at the sight of the two girls hugging, but she quickly shrugged it off and smiled as she went closer to her as well.
lisa teasingly smiled at her, making jennie raise her eyebrows and the blonde laughed before wrapping her in her arms. jennie sighed and closed her eyes when she finally felt the warmth she's been longing for, she was about to reciprocate her embrace when lisa turned to jisoo and hugged the older girl.
"i missed you, unnie!" lisa exclaimed, resulting jennie to slightly drop her jaw, realizing than lisa didn't even say anything to her.
just when she was about to ask lisa if she did miss her, the younger girl went to chaeyoung's side and put her arm on the girl's shoulder. jennie's jaw clenched and jisoo noticed it so she lightly elbowed the brunette, making her scoff.
"you're too obvious, there are cameras around," jisoo reminded her.
jennie quickly put a fake smile on as she rolled her eyes, thankful that she had her shades on. she clung onto jisoo's arm and glanced at lisa and chaeyoung who were walking not too far from them. she felt jealousy rising in her, frustrated would be an understatement if she were to describe what she's feeling. she's upset that she can't freely show what she feels towards lisa, she can't because the eyes of the public are focused on them. she's utterly tired of keeping their relationship but she can't do anything about it because of the consequences she knew they would face. but if people were to ask her if she's in a relationship with lisa, she would never deny it. not anymore. she can keep their relationship private but she would never deny it. she may seem impulsive, but she's ready to fight for their love.
when she saw lisa cup chaeyoung's face and was about to kiss her cheek, jennie quickly grabbed lisa's hair from behind and lightly pulled it.
jennie didn't like that.
she didn't like that at all.
the blonde was caught off-guard as she pursed her lips and looked at jennie who was obviously not having it. she wasn't able to see what jennie was trying to tell her because of the shades that the girl was wearing but the face that she had on surely gave lisa goosebumps.
jisoo's wheeze caught lisa's attention, making her look at the older girl questioningly but jisoo just raised her brows and shrugged.
jennie didn't take even a single glance at lisa after that, she didn't even stand nor walk beside the girl at all. she was upset, upset that lisa seemed just fine being gone for days and didn't even miss her a bit, upset that she couldn't do anything about it right now because they are in public.
