Clouds.

Something about them was so calming. It hushed the thoughts of doubt, fear, and anxiety away for the 2IC. He only made himself stand out more amongst the traffic of squad cars, and S.W.A.T trucks that surrounded. He wandered through with his eyes to the sky.

That day was rather gloomy. Dark, static clouds blanketed the earth. 2IC loved the sun, but even the deep, mysterious aura of the darkened skies put him at peace. Of course he still kept wore his aviators, everything always looked a shade darker to him, but it was still an attractive sight to him.

Many of the officers, stared curiously and even chuckled at how spaced out the operator was acting. These were supposed to be the best of the best, and yet he stood walking with his head in the clouds.

Ash and Thermite stood by a squad car. Evidence, radios, and a box of cigarettes sit atop its hood. Having finally brought his head free from the heavens above, Ash's attention was on him. With the look she gave him it was clear she wanted his attention.

Thermite stood communicating on a radio with another individual.

He slowly approached, and Ash gave a subtle smile. "Well you didn't do bad. Just watch yourself out there, alright? Rainbow's never lost an operator, and we plan to keep it that way." Ash's hand raised towards him, a genuine smile on her face.

2IC switched his rifle to his other hand, and firmly shook hers. Seeing her smile, and speak with even caring words, was rather odd. At least to him.

Perhaps his misjudgment was a sign of ignorance. Just because they were the greatest Counter Terrorist Unit in the world, didn't mean they had no sympathy.

"What now?" He asked.

"Time for you to head on back to HQ. Get some rest if you need it, I'm sure Six won't send you out again unless it's something important." Her eyes broke from his aviators, and she started to walk away, but just before leaving earshot she turned.

"Oh yeah, and it'd be good to get a check up from Doc when you get back. Just to be safe." She continued away, pulling her phone to begin a conversation inaudible with the radio chatter, choppers, and voices around him.

2IC pulled in air from his mouth. The temperature was perfect. A light breeze and dim clouds. He turned and started towards a squad van, which would take the operator to HQ. Which would now be considered, his home.

His eyes instead of being glued to the sky above, actually swept his perimeter. He finally noticed the multiple pairs of eyes that followed the ominous character, yet one of them had caught his attention.

As he shuffled by, a female with oddly large glasses came to look at the male. She stood by another squad van, before glancing at him occupied with some sort of tablet she held before her.

Her glance was quick, and honestly uncaring. His odd appearance attracted her for a second, before she gently pushed her geeky glasses up the bridge of her nose, and continued to tap away on her tablet.

2IC stood, somewhat also intrigued. She wore a beanie, with the numbers '707' in bold white. 2IC did not even know he was gazing. Her BDU was different from most anyone's he's ever seen. Hers was skin tight, with a unique type of plate carrier on her torso. Several small packs carrying who knows what around her with a small pouch on her lower back.

"Hey! We're leaving!" An individual in a dark grey suit called. He wore shades with an eerie black. Perhaps he was secret service, but 2IC of course would never know.

Judging by the steady stare he received from the man in the suit, it was sure he was talking to him.

2IC silently obligated, and walked over to climb into the back of another team van. He sat on the steel bench that lined the wall, and the gentleman in the suit hopped out to salute another operator who would be joining him on the ride back.
