[2IC's POV]

~ I could not count how many times I have watched my boots hit the ground each time I hopped out of a war machine. A technical, a convoy truck, a helicopter, and most every time it was on the natural earth, less the few times I saw action in the capital cities.

Every time I looked to my left or my right, I saw my brothers alongside me.

If not beside me, behind me. I had to be the leading figure in the battlefield. No matter the opposition, no matter the odds, the weaponry, the terrain, the emotion.

The young ones looked up to me, the veterans praised me, the commanding officers challenged me.

I could not let any of them down.

I felt that retribution resurface once more when my boots hit the ground once more.

Once more, on clean asphalt, with my former brothers as enemies.

And no one but this single woman at my side.

[2:52 PM, Just outside the Commercial Bank]

Already a helicopter chopped air above them, floating over the street to give a birds eye view for the local police department. When Dokkaebi and 2IC inserted into the zone, 2IC could see the sirens of patrol cars zooming down the street opposite side of them.

Patrol cars began making roadblocks on each end of the street, and the officers on scene stood on standby until the Rainbow Operators hit the scene.

Many of the officers looked their way, a small group approaching the two.

"So you're Rainbow, huh?" One asked, he had bushy brows, with an even bushier mustache that clamped to his upper lip. A shiny gold batch exemplified his position as chief.

"Yes. Give us a sit rep." Dokkaebi was adjusting her ballistic vest.

"Right." He turned and waved them on.

"We're looking at high grade weaponry here, we can confirm explosives have been used, Assault rifles, and maybe some body armor; and they do have their hands on a few hostages caught up in the vault rooms; bank reps, and a few security guards." The leading officer stopped at a car parked 20 yards from the entrance.

"We figure out the number of these guys?" The chief asked another officer, a woman writing something down on a tablet looked up to them.

"Oh! No, we don't have an exact numbe-..."

"Damn it..." The officer grumbled, rubbing his forehead.

"Well, we don't have a number as you heard. If you want we can hold for about a minute, S.W.A.T. teams should be moving..." He flicked his wrist and raised his watch.

"That won't be necessary. Just make sure E.M.Ts and the S.W.A.T. hold position until we're done." Dokkaebi nudged 2IC's forearm, "Let's move." The police chief's bushy brow lifted upon watching the two beginning to climb a scaffolding on the building next to the bank.

As the two climbed up, 2IC shot past Dokkaebi, reaching the top rather quickly.

"If you fall you will have just injured yourself, and made us both look like idiots."
