Caveira was continually running her finger across the face of the machete, patient for the man across from her to open his mouth.
"2IC. Get in here." Caveira finally broke the long silence, and the closed eyes of the silent rebel opened, yet he kept his head down as to avoid her questioning why that name rang any bells.
No one came through the door, and Caveira sighed irritably. She stood up abruptly, and entered the room over to see 2IC kicked back in his chair.
"I called for you."
"Here I am." 2IC replied, eyes still on the rebel inside.
Caveira suppressed the urge to go upside his head. She walked over, and set his blade onto the table decked with monitors displaying the views of cameras inside the chamber.
"Hey."
His voice prompted her to turn around, her braid flicking in front of her shoulder.
"How long will this take?" 2IC asked.
"I usually break them in a few days." She walked over next to him, crossing her arms as she looked at the miserable rebel inside.
"You don't have to stay. I'm not as bad as Thatcher makes it seem..." Caveira glanced to him.
"I would not know; but in any case it gives me something to do." 2IC kicked his feet up onto the table.
Caveira contemplated going in there and hitting him while he was suspended, but then her eyes shot to him.
"Hey! You have him in there; get him in here." The rebels head finally lifted, looking at the one way glass.
2IC and Caveira both brought their attention to the rebel, then glancing at each other.
"That little bastard has no right to make demands!..." Caveira pulled the blade from under his feet on the table, but 2IC grabbed her arm before she was able to storm off, undoubtedly going to sever more of the young man's extremities.
"I know you want to hurt him, but let me try talking to him." Caveira pulled her arm free, the fearsome glare that she shot at him meant he could expect some kind of verbal backlash.
"What? I'm Rainbow's best interrogator, what the hell makes you think you can take my position here?" She pointed a finger to herself, hovering over a seated 2IC. She tossed his blade onto the table.
He stood up, and Caveira was reminded how short she was compared to him; even then, she was in no way scared of him. Balled fists meant she was ready to fight over this if she had to. Caveira's right hand was behind her in case she needed to knock 2IC's teeth deeper into his mouth.
2IC searched her eyes, and found nothing but adamancy.
"I do not want to take your job here Caveira. Relax." 2IC's voice was calm, and that really began to irk Caviera.
"Stop talking to me like I'm some kind of child!" She hissed. 2IC didn't seem to take the message, as a unfazed expression remained on him.
