She was young and reckless; a Dallas Winston of a girl. She ran around the streets, immune to the rules, and loving every moment of it. She was the queen of Tulsa, among Socs and Greasers alike. Alas, this queen needed a king. Not someone to run her kingdom, but for someone to help her conquer even harder. But who could that be?

Y/n Y/l/n walked the streets, thoughts spiralling through her head. She had never had a real family, so the thought of someone that was hers was a foreign concept. He couldn't be too soft, but she didn't want someone tougher than her. She wanted someone to stand in her shadow and support her as she ruled.

"But who?" she wondered out loud, tapping her foot on the ground and thinking. She pulled out her switchblade and flicked it back and forth with ease.

"Why are you talking to yourself, Y/n?" a voice teased from behind her. She spun around thrusting her switchblade out. Alas, all she saw was her friend, Two-bit Mathews.

He had been waiting for her. He had memorized her basic routine and today, Tuesday, was when she went to visit her friend, Tim Shepard.

"Hello, Two," she grumbled, thinking of what she was doing previously. She needed the perfect guy.

"Are you busy today?"

The question took her off guard and she turned to look at him with surprise. Her only plan was to meet Tim and play some cards, maybe talk business. She supposed going on adventure with Two couldn't be awful, so she agreed.

"Yeah, sure. But I want to go somewhere interesting," she pointed out, hooking her arm onto his. He looked down and smiled slightly, feeling pride surge threw his body. He had made it this far, What was stopping him from showing her the time of her life now?

"Want to rob the connivence store? See how much we can swipe?" he suggested, but she shook her head in disapproval. Been there, done that. She wanted something exciting.

"Come on, Two! Think big," she teased, smiling lightly. He admired the way she smiled. No matter how happy she was, she still had a dangerous look on her lips. She was perfect.

"The bar?"

"It's only one in the afternoon!" she cried out, laughing ever so slightly. Even when he was serious she couldn't help but chuckle.

"You have the prettiest laugh."

She was taken off guard by that side comment. No one had given her a compliment before. Sure, lots of boys had hit on her in bars and such, but it was nothing as genuine as the words that left Two-bits mouth.

"You want to know something, Two?"

He furrowed his eyebrows together thoughtfully. Was he truly in the mood to know something? I suppose he'd find out soon enough.

"Sure, doll."

"We'd make an excellent couple."

Two began to choke on air, partly because out of surprise, and also because he felt the same. He never knew she'd be returning those thoughts to him.

"Well, why don't we act on it then? We could win best couple in the yearbook!" Two teased, swinging her around by the waist. She couldn't help but giggle as well, due to the bizarre scene around her.

"Come on, Two! You know I don't go to school!"

It was true, she hadn't been to school in weeks. She just didn't like it, simple as that.

"Well, we can be best couple in my heart."

"I would love to be best couple with you, Two-but Mathews."

"Are you asking me out?" he exclaimed, placing his hand sassily on his hip.

"I suppose I am," she sassed right on back.

"I suppose I have to say yes then."

He pulled her waist towards him and she let out a squeal of delight. No one had made her feel like this. She looked deep into his eyes, reading what he wanted. She reached up to his cheek, pulling him down into a lingering kiss.

"Best couple of the year already."
