It's kind of a gang imagine, more or less. Y/n's dating Dally, but the gang doesn't know yet.

It was late last night when Darry sprung the news on us. We had all been sitting around the TV, watching Mickey of course, when he lumbered into the room with a big smile on his face. From there, he informed us that we were going to the beach tomorrow, no ifs, ands, or buts. So, we stayed over at the Curtis's house and then left early the next morning.

*time skip to the beach*

"WE'RE FINALLY HERE GUYS!" Two-bit hollered excitedly. Dallas let out a groan and reached over, trying to give him a smack. Two-bit jumped out of his reach, but I still gave him a look of disapproval. He rolled his eyes, ignoring my annoyance.

Everyone piled out of the van Darry had rented for the occasion and I stretched out my arms. I was in a short sun dress that was a light shade of blue.

I looked out at the ocean and got a feeling of zen. My father used to take me out here to surf when I was little, before he passed away. I usually try to make a point of going to the beach as much as possible, but I hadn't been out in a while.

I went around to the back of the van and pulled out my surf board. It wasn't a new model, but it sure could shred.

"Seriously? We just got here, I thought we could play some games or something," Darry exclaimed, frowning as I grabbed my board.

"I will, I will. I gotta hit some waves first, though," I explained, excitement coursing through me.

I pulled off my sundress to reveal my bikini. The boys let out wolf whistles, before I pulled on my wetsuit.

"Awe, come on babe, you were looking fine," Steve murmured, giving me a wink.

Dally glowered at him for a moment too long and I think Pony noticed. If so, he didn't say anything about it.

I laughed at Steve, before jogging down to the water. It was pretty big waves out there, nothing bigger than usual, but big enough to impress the boys.

I hopped on my surfboard and paddled out. I let the first wave go by, but by the second wave I took my opportunity. I paddled as hard as I could and pulled myself up. I felt the current pull me up with the wave. The wind blew through my hair and the water sprayed in my face. I felt a large smile grow on my face as I rode the wave back onto shore.

"Wow, that was impressive," Soda complimented from his place on his blanket. He had sun screen placed religiously all over his body, and a pair of black sunglasses rested on his perfect nose.

"Thanks man."

I pulled off my wet suit and walked over to where Dally was in line at a food booth.

"Hey."

He glanced over at me and smirked.

"What's up doll face?"

"When are we going to tell the gang about us? I mean...I like you a lot and I just, I don't know...," I babbled endlessly.

He looked at the ground with a smirk then look back up me.

"I'm having too much fun sneakin' around, doll. Can't we wait 'til someone catches us doing some stuff?" he rumbled with a wink. Of course that's what he wanted.

"Fine," I muttered, walking away from the handsome boy. I heard Dally call my name, but I jogged a little faster towards where the rest of the boys sat. They were organizing the towels and Steve was attempting to blow up a large inflatable raft.

"Want to play some volleyball, guys?" I questioned.

The boys chorused there agreeance and we all began an intense game of volleyball. Dallas eventually came strolling back with a smirk on his face. He went on the opposite team from me with Darry, Johnny and Ponyboy.

The game started up and you could tell it was getting heated. I was ready to kick Dallas in his stupid head, and the tension just kept building.

Just as I thought Dally was gonna jump over the net and start smacking me, Soda decided he wanted to change the game.

"I'm going to get something to eat, I'll be back in a bit," I muttered, as calmly as I could muster. I just wanted to be able to hang out with my.... whatever he is, out in public! But noooo, heaven forbid a normal relationship with Dallas Tucker Winston.

I stood in line at the concession, tapping my foot endlessly. Was I not good enough for him? Was that the problem? Or maybe it's the same thing it's always been with him; scared of commitment.

"Hey, uh, Y/n?" Dally sighed, tapping my shoulder. I spun around as a byproduct of the hard tap, preparing for a fight.

"What do you want, Winston?!" I snarled, deepening my frown.

"What's your problem, doll? You've been grouchy all day," he complained, rolling his eyes.

"Awe, screw off," I groaned. I was in a bad mood, but probably not for the reasons he was expecting. My dad passed away today. How was poor Dal suppose to know the minor details of my life? Hell, nobody got close enough to find out anything about me anyways.

"Come on, y/n, I didn't mean to make you so mad. I get it, I'm an excellent volleyball player, but no need to get jealous."

"I swear to god, please stop talking!"

He snickered and wrapped a lean arm around my shoulder. I pushed his arm away and looked into his icy blue eyes. I wonder how many people he's stopped dead, just by making eye contact.

"I thought you don't want people to know we are.... whatever you think this is," I murmured, looking at him. As he was about to speak the waiter let out a loud holler, reading out the ticket number.

"TICKET NUMBER, THREE, SIX, NINE?!"

I sauntered up to the front to grab my burger and shake. I was quite hungry, so I tried not to waste any time digging into the juicy burger. I turned around and strolled past Dally. He followed behind me and we walked back over to the gang.

"What took y'all so long?" Soda hollered, giving us a wink. I rolled my eyes, flopping down on a towel besides Pony and Johnny. Pony was reading Gone with the Wind out loud, so I listened as I chowed down on my burger. The rest of the boys seemed to have disappeared, but I was enjoying the twists and turns of the book.

Dally came up behind me and roughly pulled me to my feet.

"What the-"

"Listen Y/n, I think we should make this official. I swear to god, if I have to listen to Steve say one more thing about how he's going to smash, I will kill him," Dal explained setting his large hands on my waist. I giggled, shaking my head.

"Well, Steve is a cutie..." I trailed off, looking at Dal innocently.

He shook his head with a glare, quickly bringing his lips to mine. The boys whooped and hollered, causing me to pull away from Dal laughing.

Maybe this day wasn't so bad after all.

Ok, I'm sorry for how dumb that was, but I'm trying. :/ I hate when people make Dally seem soft, super kind, etc, so I'll try my best not to make him like that. I just figure Dally is a tough hood, he's got better things to do than buy y'all roses. Idk just my dumb opinion💆🏻‍♀️
