Lilac knocked on the giant wooden door that stood 15 feet high and then entered interrupting her father and Lord Duncan in a tense argument. Her Farther looked up at her smiling then got up to greet her with a hug (she still wasn’t use to having a farther but it felt nice to be loved) and then looked at the cloths his face a little less happy ‘well ... its nice to see you clean and not grubby but I will have to have a word with your maid about her cloths choice…’ Lilac interrupted him

‘Oh no it wasn’t her fault I refused to wear those heavy cloths they are so itchy!’ this caused her father to chuckle

‘Well at least I know my daughter has a strong spirit!’ he joked. Lord Duncan cleared his

Throat to get their attention his face showing a flicker of his distain then going back to blank. The king walked back to his desk and sat down looking at them his face changes back to his blank face just like Lord Duncan impossible to read, I have to learn how to do that! Lilac thought.

‘As I was saying Duncan, I will reward you for you loyalty in a different way whatever you want.’ Lilac looked at her father in confusion

‘How were you going to show thanks before?’

The king looked at her and replied in a simple blunt answer

‘his son was going to be king but now you’re here.’ Lilac looked over to lord Duncan who was glaring at her

‘Oops?’ was all Lilac could get out. Her father just shook his head

‘Its not your fault and anyway I asked you here a different reason, come here.’ Her beckoned her over and when she was there he handed her a piece of paper ‘here is you weekly schedule’ he explained. Lilac started to frown when she read the piece of paper and the more she read the deeper her frown became. When she had finished she looked at her farther

‘What’s deportment and whose madam blackberry?’ Lilac asked at this the king chuckled

‘Deportment is about lady manners and things like that and she is your teacher’ at this and evil smile appeared on her face I think I’m going to have some fun with this ‘Madam Blackberry’ lilac thought menacingly. The king must have seen her face because he raised one eyebrow and added ‘Just because I haven’t seen you in ages doesn’t mean I have no clue what your thinking and no funny business!’ Lilac let out a dramatic sigh but wasn’t detured and asked ‘Why do I only get one session of dragon care a day!’ It was the kings turn to sigh then he slowly explained ‘because lady’s don’t ride unless they have to.’ Lilac was about to retort back when lord Duncan interrupter her and replied

‘I know how you can repay me.’ The king looked at him in interest

‘And what is it?’ he asked causing Lord Duncan to smile ‘My son will marry you daughter.’
