"Blaine I think she's waking up." Whatever that was it was damn quiet. I was sure I recognised the voice but I was way too tired to really care. I tried to move into a more comfortable position to sleep in but there was an incredible amount of force holding me still. I tried desperately to move but I felt a surge of pain rush through my head. My eyes shot open as I screamed in pain. "Yea she's definitely awake." I could hear whoever was speaking was being way to sarcastic for my liking. Everything seemed to be at such extremities with most being scary or unfamiliar. Everything came into focus and I realised I was lay on something soft and staring up at a plain white ceiling. The ceiling was then blocked from my vision as two heads appeared above me. Luckily I recognised Zach and Blaine staring back at me. "Hey babe, how are you feeling?" I tried to sit up with both guys rushing forward to help me. This seemed to be the first time they had ever got along.
"What happened? I remember I was arguing. With Blaine. He told me- I saw- No please tell me I'm dreaming." It all came flooding back. The argument with Blaine, him acting like my father. Him showing me his fangs. In the space of a week I'd found out my boyfriend and now my brother were vampires. It was too much for a girl to handle. "Blaine? How- What?" I didn't know what I was trying to ask. To be honest I didn't know what I wanted to know.
"Don't worry it doesn't run in the family like someone we know." A glance at Zach made me reach towards his hand as Blaine continued with his 'story'. "You know that year I shared a flat with one of my mates. It happened that year. It was all a set up. You know Evan don't you?" I nodded confused. I squeezed Zach's hand and he smiled at me. "I stayed with him and we went out one night. It was Evan's idea and I wanted to relax. He said we could take a short cut through this alley. He planned it all so that I thought I was being mugged when really 5 guys attacked me. Two beat me up, two stole my things so I thought I was being mugged and the final guy literally spit venom in me. He bit me without my knowledge and I became...this." The way he said 'this' proved to me my brother never wanted to be a vampire. It wasn't his choice. Then it sank in, Evan had planned it. He'd hurt my brother. I snatched my hand away from Zach's grasp and stared deep into my brother's eyes searching for some emotion. His eyes were dead, they showed nothing. I was so ashamed for not being able to figure this out.
"Hey, it wasn't my fault!" Zach broke through my thoughts and I glared at him. It was his brother that had planned this. Exactly it was his brother that had done this not him. My glare instantly softened and I took Zach's hand as well as Blaine's. I looked at them both and couldn't bring myself to say a word. I just stared at the two people I loved. A solitary tear rolled down my cheek.
"You could have caught me." I smiled weakly at my brother who laughed as did Zach. That was it the truth was out and I knew everything. The hard part was over. Or so I thought.
