Ch 4

Ahh. I just love the feeling of a nice hot steaming shower after along day. "rose!" damn why does she have to ruin my happy time? "yeah?" "Ricky is on the phone." great. "tell him im busy" that should do it "hang on she's in the shower. But ill give her the phone any way."

why do I hear the door opening? "here rose." "gee thanks sis." I turned off the water as I got on. "hello?" why is he breathing all weird? Eh beats me. "mm. so you ready for me to pick you up? Its almost 8." damn really? "oh is it? I lost track of time. I still have to get my things together." that's when Serena screamed. " I put your things together!"

I took the phone from my ear to respond. " thanks!" great there goes my time stall. "hello? Hello? Rose you there?" oh yeah Ricky is on the phone. "uh yeah. what's up?" "as I was saying... how was your shower? Was it good?" "yes it was good. What time is it?" "its about 7:45pm." wow! I spent an hour in the shower. "ok thanks." "no prob. Are you going to get dressed?" "yeah I just need to put on my bra and then my shirt and then do my make up."

and again he's taking a while. "mm. you can leave off the bra." I laugh. "down boy." I then hung up with him and continued to get ready. 20 mins later and im ready. I walk down the stairs and as im about to leave I call up to Serena. " bye Serena!" "bye! have fun!" oh yeah what fun could I have over at Ricky's. I close the door and walk down the path way to the front gate. I see a nice black ford f150 truck. I open the door and climb in. "nice truck. Love the color." "thanks...so about earlier." I closed the door and put the seat belt on. "yeah what about it?" "I'm sorry if I scared you."

what is he talking about...oh yeah at his house. "oh no you didn't scare me." he smiled.. Wow I love that smile...shut up rose. shut up, you are not falling for him. "good." he then put the truck in drive and we were on our way. " oh wait I forgot, before we go anywhere close your eyes and just barely open your mouth." what the hell. Why? "why." "just do it please?!" grr there goes that puppy dog face. "fine." I opened my mouth and closed my eyes like he wanted. that's when he kissed me soft slow and sweet.. I never knew how amazing a single kiss could be.

The next morning Ricky dropped me off. I had to drag myself through the front door. Damn that boy wouldn't let me sleep. Note to self do not do sleep over's with Ricky again. Serena being her was already up and bouncing around being all cheery. "rose! How was it? Tell me everything!!"

as I inhaled to begin telling her, I smelled what was that? Waffles and fresh ones at that... great our mother was home. I wonder what she wants? Well only one way to find out. I walked away from Serena and into the kitchen. I took a look around and saw the table set.

Waffles with syrup and butter and juice. Serena walked in after me waiting for me to tell her. " it was alright I guess, all we did was talk and play games." "oh wow that's boring." "yup...well he did kiss me as soon as he picked me up last night." "really?!" " yuppers. It was...nice" by that time I had a goofy smile on my face. "wow!" and right then my smile dropped as our mother came through the kitchen door. "girls breakfast is ready." no really. Like I cant see that. "what's mom doing here?" " I don't know she showed up about 20 mins before you came home." our mother turned to Serena. "did you wash up Serena?" "yes mother I did." I couldn't take it anymore.

"what are you doing here? Why did you come back? Did you finally realize your wrong doing? Mother." I said the word mother with a sneer. Serena looked and me and screamed. "rose!" then our mother spoke. "young lady don't you raise your voice at me! I am your mother! Show me the respect I deserve." that should be easy. " then that should be easy seeing as how you don't deserve any form of respect. You left Serena and I to fend for our selves. As soon as we turned 5 years old! I raised Serena and myself on my own! I bought this house.. So get out now!" all the while my mother looked very angry. Well good. " fine! I am never coming back!" good. "good we don't need the likes of you and we never have!!"

she then stormed out the front door. Good we don't need her. Right as she got out side a boy came up to the house trying to sell something. I took the door and slammed it on him. Ha! No one sells shit to my house! I turned around only to come face to face with a very angry Serena. "why did you do that rose? She wanted to take care of us for once." I sighed and went over to the sofa. "come on Serena its time that you know. Sit down its along story." I waited as she sat down. Once she sat down I told her the most obvious. " because Serena she only wanted a place to crash and hide out." "how do you know that?"

great. how do I answer this? Best to just tell the truth I suppose. "Serena... I can scan peoples minds.. I always have been. Ever since she left us when we were 5." she was silent taking it all in. "oh... so that's how we survived." I didn't bother responding. She was thinking about it all. I just slowly walked up to my room and dropped on my nice soft bed. I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.
