Is it real or not?(ON HOLD)

Chapter 9

Cami's POV

"Momma Estoy bien.(I'm fine)"I was with Rosa and she walked back with me."

I say as I lock the door behind me then toss my keys in a bowl on the table that is near the coat rack.Taking off my leather jacket and place it on the coat rack I walk past my mother.

"Where you taking care of Kc?" My mother Ruby asks.

Ruby is 5'3 with blonde hair that is neck length and brown eyes with a chubby but cute body. I look over at her with a "duh" look.

"Por supuesto, ¿Qué más estaría haciendo?"(Of course. What else would I be doing?)

I say walking down the hallway that lead to the kitchen. Once I reached the kitchen I opened the back door that leads to the patio and walked out towards the backyard.

Storm chuckles as she looks at me. "Being with our mate and doing other things that is not just making out." I roll my eyes at her.

Once outside on the patio deck I smile at my step father Robert who was sitting on the lawn chair that was facing the pool. Robert is 5'8 with grey hair and green eyes with a handsome skinny toned body.

"Cami darling how are you?" Robert asks with a smile as he places down his phone on the table. I smiled back at him and walk over to him to sit down beside him on the hammock.

"Estoy bien."(I'm fine) My mother walk up towards us then sits down on Robert's lap. I look over at my mother and Robert before smiling softly.

Robert and my mother have been married for about 5 years now. My mother was married to my father for a few years before they divorced when I was 8 or 9. I still remember the day when my mother told me that my father passed away during my 7th grade year.

**Flashback to 10 years ago**

Sitting at the desk with the computer open with a pencil in one hand  and calculator in the other, focusing on homework.I heard my mother and grandma's foot steps walk up the stairs and come towards my bedroom.

"Camilla." My mother Ruby calls to me as she knocks on the door then opens it. Looking behind my shoulder over towards her, I see tears running down her cheeks. I quickly put the pencil and calculator down then get to my feet.

"Mom? ¿Qué pasó? ¿Qué está mal? ¿Por qué estás llorando?" (What happened? What is wrong? Why are you crying?)

I glance over at my grandma Rebecca to find her crying as well as she stands next to my grandpa Yoan. He strokes her back gently and soothingly before pulling her into a hug. I turn back to my mother and see her wiping her tears then walk towards me.

"Tu tía (Your aunt) just called me to tell me some very awful news." Glancing at my mom's blood shot eyes I looked at her with confusion.

"Cami your father. He passed away today." She says as she places her hands gently on my shoulders. Taking a step back away from her, I looked at her in shock.

"Que? (What?) No. No.No.No.No.No.No Mom this is a joke. This a joke right?"

I look at her as tears begin to form within my eyes as she shakes her head no.

"No querida, no es tu padre falleció hoy temprano." (My darling it's not your father passed away earlier today)

I felt that time itself  had just stopped right then and there. Tears begin to run down my cheeks as I stay rooted in place too shocked to even move because I didn't want to believe it. My mother kneels down in front of me and pulls me into a tight embrace as she cries against my back while soothing my hair. My heart not only dropped into the pit of my stomach but it also felt like was breaking each time. Ruby held my tiny body closer her as I broke down into tears.
