Walls that build and walls that break,
the only thing between us is a midnight wake
turn off the world and play a deep song,
Tell me you feel something
Once we had a place,
Once we broke a world
and built our own memories fueled by the night
oceans between us now
cigarettes and star gazing at 2 am
taco bell for breakfast never again
in the night stay up till light,
makes jokes that last
even after all these years
some things they never change
Walls that build and walls that break,
the only thing between us is a midnight wake
turn off the world and sing to your self
Tell me your over me you're over him
It's been a trip that never ends
it's been a ride that lasted this long
Would you change it for the world?
Would you change it for another try?
Could you even get that high?
in the night stay up til light
sing to the night walking that way
2 am we and here again
some things they never change
Walls the build and walls that break
the only thing between us is a midnight wake,
turn off the world and write it all
Tell me the stories we created thus far
Aren't the troubled all the grand?
build up our walls high and stand
we were the wallflowers
amongst the partiers and the brave
wine and moon light mixed in our states
lights glitter and dance away
count the dead and shed our fists
until we became brave
Walls that build and walls that break
the only thing between us is a midnight wake
turn off the world and shed our tears
tell me sister tell me dear
you were the only one i had
you are the only one at 2
Walls that build and walls that break
the only thing between is a midnight wake
turn off the world and play a deep song
tell me this is something
something grand
