After school

You texted Annie to go to tell her to meet you to go see the basketball practice.

Then you started walking to the girls bathroom. Annie was already there.

You: Hey girl!
Annie: Heyy! Shall we go?
You: Ya.

You walked to the basketball court, where the  oys were practicing. When you arrived you saw that the practice had already started.
You and Annie took a seat. Conner saw us and waved at us. You waved back and they continued playing. You saw Chase easily going past all the other players and scoring.
You: YESS *whispering*
Annie: Mhm...
You: What?!
Annie: If I am right I think that you like Chase... Don't you?
You: HA NO No not at all.. I think..
Annie: Well I think that you DO like him.
You: I don't- fine.. yes I kinda like him..
Annie: I knew it!
You: You're not telling anyone tho!
Annie: Don't worry, I won't.
You: Thanks bro!

Y/n thoughts: Well.. Is it possible not to like him? I mean.. he is just perfect.. How is that not illegal?!

The practice ended so you and Annie went to the boys. Chase saw you, smiled and waved.

Chase: Hey girls!
You and Annie: Hey boys!
Conner: So what do you think? Are we good?
You: Y'all are awesome!
Annie: I second that!
Team: Thanks!
Chase: Will you come to the match tomorrow?
You: Sure thing.
Annie: Me too!

Conner's phone rang. He pulled it out of his pocket.
Conner: It's Ona. Be right back mates...
Chase: Guys I need to leave.
Annie: Yeah me too.
You: Me-
Payton stopped you.
Payton: Wait y/n I need to tell you something really important...
You: Ok sure buddy. You gave Annie a quick -rather suspicious- look. "Guys I will leave afterwards as it seems so I'll see y'all tomorrow!" I said.
Chase: I'll wait for you y/n.
You: Okay thank you!
Conner: Hey guys? Bad news..
Chase: What happened?
Conner: Ona is sick. Which means that the cheerleaders won't be able to come tomorrow without their leader. Y'all know the rules. No cheerleaders equals no championship!
Payton: Oh no!
Chase: Wait. Y/n earlier today you were saying that you have been having gymnastics lessons since when you were little.
You: Yes.. Still do. So?

Chase wishpered something in Conner's ear.

Conner: Great idea!
You: What?
Conner: Y/n, Chase thought that since you are good at gymnastics you could replace Ona just for tomorrow. Please???
You: Me?! But I don't know the moves and stuff...
Chase: I am sure you can do it!
You: I-
Team: PLEASE
You: Fine.. I will try.
Chase: Yes! You're the best!
He put his hand around your shoulders.

You blushed a little.

Conner: The cheerleaders' practice is today at 5PM..
You: Ok I'll be there.
Conner: They'll show you what you have to do. I'm sure you'll have no problems at all.
You: Alright! But for  now I have to leave. Bye boys!
Payton: But Y/n...
You: Ohh right I forgot! Sorry.
Chase: Y/n I will wait for you outside of the building.
You: Ok coming in a couple of mins.

Payton took you away from the others.

You: What is it Pay?
Payton: I'll tell you because you're the only one I trust... but you mustn't tell anyone.
You: Alright...
Payton: So it's about a girl I like...
You: Mhm go on..
Payton: She is your friend Annie..
You: Really? YES!
Payton: Why are you so happy about it haha
You: OHH Never mind
Payton: Anyways ha.. So you know Grace right?
You: Ugh why you mentioned that b– UM... I MEAN... WHO DOESN'T?
Payton: Yeah... The thing is that she likes me! She told me today and then she kissed me. But I pulled back. Then Jason came in, saw us and broke up with her. But he is mad at me now..
You: OMG! So SHE kissed YOU!
Payton: Yeah...?
You: And how can I help?
Payton: Well I think Annie saw us kissing.. Could you please tell her that Grace kissed me and I pushed her?
You: Sure!
Payton: Thanks!
You: No problem! Anyways talk to ya bro!
Payton: K bye!

You left and went to Chase.

Chase's POV:

Thoughts: Why could Payton want to talk to her... What if he likes her? WHY WOULD I CARE ANYWAYS–

You: Hey!
Chase: Hey. Everything alright? Ready to leave?
You: Yeah everything's fine!
Chase: Okay let's go then...

I walked her home. I had just met her the same day but I don't know... whenever I was around her I felt... weird...

We got to know each other a little better on the way to her home...

You: Okayy this is me. Thanks for walking me home!
Chase: No problem! See you tomorrow?
You: Yeah
Chase: How about I come here to pick u up so we can walk to school together?
You: That would be great!
Chase: Ok I'll be here at 7:45AM- by the way can I like, get ur number so we can talk?
You: Sure, lemme put it in you phone.

Chase: Sure. Bye!
You: Bye, Chase!
