INT. THE CHURCH – DAY
It's an old Catholic church with only a video screen that looks like a giant jukebox at the side of the altar to show that it has changed with the times. The screen shows a live video of the mass.
The PRIEST, about 50, is using a microphone headset to deliver the homily.
PRIEST: (V.O.) If you have the faith that can make miracles, but have not love, you gain nothing...
Now we see a handful of CHURCHGOERS in the pews.
PRIEST: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud.
THE VIDEO SCREEN
Shows a CLOSEUP of the priest.
PRIEST: It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs...
BACK TO SCENE
The priest walks under the large state of the Crucified Christ hanging at the center of the altar.
PRIEST: Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres...
He points to the Crucified Christ.
PRIEST: As proven by the historical records of Jesus Christ's holy death and resurrection...
