harveys point of view:
i slowly open my eyes, shielding my eyes from the bright light that shinned about me. once my eyes became fully adjusted i realized i was in the hospital, "hello?" i called out frantically looking around, "hello?" i screamed, now getting people's attentions.
i sighed of relief when i saw mom turn the corner of my room, "oh honey you're awake!" she sighed running over to me, "sweetie what happened?" she frowned.
i don't really remember anything—"he did it," the words slipped out of my mouth before i could control it.
"who did what?" mom asked with fear in her eyes.
"can i talk to the police?" i said not meeting her eye, i don't want to lie to her.
"yes of course, ill be right back dear," she smiled and rubbed my back quickly.
she shortly came back with two police officers, "could you please tell us everything you remember?" i looked at the officers back to my mom until they got the hint, "oh uh right, ma'am can you please wait in the hallway until we're done here?"
"but he's my so—"
"mom it's okay," i smiled and nodded and he gave me a quick kiss on the head before leaving.
"back to where we were, what happened?"
i sighed, not sure why i was risking my safety with this, "i got a call from my girlfriend around 11 last night, she wanted me to come over so i was planning on it. i called an Uber and the next thing i know im tied to a chair in an empty apartment. by uh someone named dallas mcarthy. he said he wanted to be with my girlfriend, i but tricked him into saying id break up with her and he can date her instead of killing me and then he let me go i ran and don't remember anything after running," i said quickly.
"woah, okay, well uh, we need to keep a guard with you at all times. as well as your girlfriend, does anyone know where she is?" he asked.
"i just woke up i haven't heard anything," i said catching moms eye signaling her in.
"have you seen loren?" i asked as she got close.
she frowned, "she was here earlier, she looked a mess. she thought it was all her fault and felt guilty so she just ran out and no one has heard from her since, why what's wrong?"
"it'd be best if you didn't know right now, but i need you to help us find her," the cop said.
"oh yes of course!"
