Chapter 4: Secrets to Hide.

Flashback

It has been 3 weeks since Everest has joined the Paw Patrol. But since that day, Marshall has been feeling strange. Mainly around Everest. He didn't know what it was. He didn't know what to say.

Marshall pov

"Marshall. Marshall. It's time to get up." Chase says.

"Ok," I say.

I walk into the lookout and eat my food.

"Hey Marshall, you wanna play Soccer with us," Chase asks.

"Sure I guess," I say.

In the middle of our soccer game, Everest drives up to us.

"Hi guys! Mind if I join your game?" She says.

"Um, Sure. Someone would have to sit out though." Chase says.

"I'll sit out," I say.

Everyone stares at me with confused looks.

"Are you sure Marshall? You're always up for a game of soccer?" 

"Ya, I'm sure. Besides, I needed to talk to Ryder about something anyway." I say.

Before they can say anything, I run off towards the lookout. 

As soon as I got to the lookout though, I trip and rammed headfirst into the elevator, and I was brought up into the top floor of the lookout. I walk out dizzy as heck and 2 seconds after walking out of the elevator, I fell to the ground.

"You ok Marshall?" Ryder said.

"I'm good. Actually, I came to ask you about something."

"Ok, what is it."

"Um well, I have had a secret that I have kept hidden from you guys, and I never told anyone."

"What is it about."

"Well, it's about my feelings for someone."

"Ok. So, who do you have those feelings for?"

"Promise me you won't laugh."

"Promise."

"Ok. I-I- I have feelings for Everest."

Marshall was waiting for Ryder to laugh. But instead of that Ryder said, "So, what are your feelings like?"

Marshall was shocked. Ryder didn't laugh or make fun of him.

"Um, well, I like her, a lot. I feel somewhat depressed when she isn't here. When she isn't here, I praying all the time that Everest is ok."

"Sounds like you really care for her." 

"Ya, I do. But I don't think she would like me."

"Why would you say that!?"

"Well, look at me. Sure, I'm was the Best Firepup in the Academy, but that's it. I'm clumsy, I trip on everything, and I'm not as Handsome as Chase!"

"Marshall, what are you talking about. You crack jokes all the time. If people are sad, you make them happy in the snap of a finger. From what I see, Everest might like a pup like you."

"Really! You think so!"

"Yes I do, I really do."

"Thanks Ryder!"  I say as I head back towards the elevator.

End of Flashback

"Ugh, I wish I would have told her," I say.

But as I say that, I remember what the other pups said.

  " If anybody has a crush on that pup, there crazy. Like seriously, he's doing stupid things to your left, right, and all around ya."  

"Maybe the other pups were right. Maybe Everest doesn't like me. Well, I didn't know before, I'll never know now." I say.

I keep driving onwards, to wherever this road shall lead me.
