Chapter 9: Regrets be made.

Chase pov

I'm sitting in my pup house, disappointed. Disappointed in me. Why did I say all that, I know I didn't mean it. Marshall is my best friend, my brother practically. I look at my clock, it says 6 A.M.

Well, time to wake everyone up. I thought.

I walk out of my pup house, stretch for a moment, and then start waking everyone up. This time though, it took a lot longer for everyone to get up. 

Most likely because of what happened yesterday. I thought.

If I'm gonna be honest, we were all hurt when we found out Marshall left us. Sure, we did say those hurtful things, but we were joking. We didn't mean any of it. 

Well, now that I think about it, it didn't sound like we were joking. I thought. I just hope Ryder can forgive us for our mistakes.

I see Skye walk out of her pup house. I walk over to her.

"Hey," I say

"Hey," Skye says, sounding depressed.

Wait, depressed!?!

Wait, does Skye like Marshall! I hope not.

Skye POV

I wake up this morning depressed. After we found out Marshall left, we searched everywhere, but we couldn't find him.

I hope he's okay. The last thing I want to happen is for him to get hurt, or worse. I thought.

I walk out of my pup house and start walking to the Lookout. Chase notices me and starts heading my way. I want to act cheerful, but with what's currently going on, I can't.

"Hey," Chase says.

"Hey," I say, in a very depressed tone. 

I look over at Chase and notice that he goes from his stone-cold, serious look to a very panic look.

Why would he be panicked?  I thought

"You good?" I ask.

"Uh, yeah -h -h. Totally. Just, uh, you know, worrying about Marshall, that's all." He says.

Aww, he's so cute when he panics. 

"Yeah, I'm worried too," I say.

I turn and look Chase straight in the eyes.

"Chase. I'm scared. Like, what if we don't find Marshall? What will we do without him?" I ask.

Chase sits there as if he's daydreaming.

Chase POV

I look at her as she talking. She looks so worried.

She looks so cute when she's worried. I thought.

"CHASE!" Skye shouts.

"AHHHH!" I say, hoping out of my daydream. "What happen?!"

"Are you ok? You were just staring off into space." She says.

Oh no. She's caught on. Quick, think Chase, think.

"Ah, sorry. I'm just a little tired. Didn't get much sleep last night." I say.

"Yeah, I think we didn't get much sleep last night." She says.

After she says that, are dog tags go off.

Paw Patrol, to the Lookout! Ryder says.

"Ryder needs us!" We all say.

We then run into the elevator. This time, just like the last time, Marshall didn't come crashing into us.

"It's weird without Marshall here," Rubble says.

"Yeah," We all say.

The elevator goes up, we put our uniforms on, then reach the top of the lookout and jump out of the elevator.

"Ready for action, Ryder sir!" I say.

"Great to see you pups. I got some good news. Someone called me this morning, saying that he spotted Marshall's fire truck along the highway, heading towards the US." Ryder says.

"Yea!" We all say. 

"Everyone to there Vehicles, so we can get to him. Don't worry, Everest already knows." Ryder says.

We all gulp when he says that. We all know that Everest loves Marshall. When I mean love, I don't mean like loves him as a friend, I mean, Everest has a crush on Marshall. 

Oh no. We said something about someone being crazy wanting to date Marshall. Hopefully, Ryder didn't tell her the specifics. I thought.

As everyone goes down to the slide, I walk up to Ryder.

"Um, Ryder sir. I'm sorry about what we did. We didn't mean any of it. I take full responsibility for what happened. I'm willing to take any punishment if necessary." I say.

Ryder looks at me, then says, "Chase, I know what you guys did was an accident. I'm not mad with you guys, I'm just disappointed. I'm also not going to punish you. Now, get to your vehicle, cause we got to roll." he says.

"Yes sir, Ryder sir," I say.

I then go running towards the elevator.

Hold on Marshall, were coming for you.
