We don't only say goodbye when it actually ends because 'goodbyes' scream
They scream through
everytime we untie ourselves from each other
with our silenced actions
or long ignorance for each other's feelings
or maybe lack of words and understanding
that starts prevailing
But now when you're finally gone
I swear it's not that last goodbye you said that hurts the most
Neither it's the goodbyes that screamed during conflicts which choke my soul
but it's the echoes of goodbyes
that the good memories silently speak
Which drowns me whole
