"Hey Gav, just me, plain ol' Alex. Hey. I'll be in for a visit within the fortnight, hopefully. Please hold out till then. Tell those dirty fellas that if they don't want a tongue lashing, they better behave for ya. See ya." I left the message on Gav's answering machine.
I slipped the phone back into my pocket, the clothes I had gotten changed into and bumped into Bash in the hallway. "Bash! Sorry about Avery."
Sebastian shrugged. "Nothing new there. What you up to?"
I shook my head. "Nothing, really. Hey, can you please find me ten empty one point two five litre bottles."
Sebastian looked at me weirdly. "Why?"
I grinned widely. "I wanna show you some cheap fun. Meet me back in the hallway by the lounge room when you've found some." I walked away, heading to the said room. I left Bash there, looking highly confused.
That was when I remembered about Chelsea. Frowning, I went in search for Avery.
"Oh god." I heard him mutter to himself.
"There's more!" I grinned as I sat back down. "I suddenly remembered something."
"Please, enlighten me." Avery groaned as he rubbed his face.
"Who is Chelsea?"
Avery paused in his actions and looked up at me. "Nothing to concern you about."
"Don't shove me in a dark corner. I need to know these stupid things. Have you already spoken to the lawyer?"
"I did." Avery sat back in his chair. "Chelsea was a girlfriend. For Cally to bring her up was uncalled for."
"So you're not seeing her any more?" I asked carefully.
"No. We finished a couple weeks ago."
I stared at Avery. Is he telling the truth? I sighed loudly. "I don't want to look like a wife that can't keep her husbands attention when you get caught." I told him bluntly. "If we are to have everyone believe that we really love each other, we need them to believe you ruin my lipstick, not my mascara." I got up and walked to the door. "I'm not playing the innocent and gullible stepford wife if you are sneaking off behind my back. It only takes one time, Avery, and when, not if, when that happens, you can pucker those lips and kiss everything goodbye."
I stormed out of the room and back to where I told Bash to meet me.
"I have the bottles, but not all are empty." He told me with a confusing look on his face.
I looked up at him, slightly muddled by what he meant. "Oh right. Keep the empties. When they are all empty, then I'll show you what I mean to do."
I helped Sebastian put everything in the fridge. He kept asking what I wanted them for, but I didn't answer him. All he got was a "You'll see."
Cally joined us in the kitchen, a smile on her face. "Oh, Coke!" She helped herself to one of the softdrinks and poured that in a glass. "Look at your hair!" She informed me.
I frowned at her. "What?"
"You haven't let it out since you got it done and now it will be kinked. Come on, we'll go fix it. Grab your bag."
"Excuse me?" I asked her.
"You'll need to be freshened up for dinner."
I'm lost. "Dinner?"
Bash frowned as he nodded. "You're going out for dinner tonight. Didn't Avery tell you?"
I looked from brother to sister. No he didn't. "Oh, yes, sorry. Complete slip of the mind. I did forget. Let's go Cally."
