"So, what's your name again?" Cally asked the man next to us.
"Jason." He grinned. Cally turned to me as her eyes lit up.
"Jason, we are having a mini bachelorette party. No boys allowed."
"Come on, loves, where's the fun if I ain't in it?"
Cally and I laughed again.
"How about I give ya's a lift home?"
I scrunched my nose up. "Nah, we good."
Jason turned to me. "Come on shorty." He grinned out.
"I'm not short! I'm concentrated awesome!" I heard Cally laugh as I grinned to her. "I'm glad you're tall though," I stated to Jason as he beamed at me. "That way there is more of you I dislike." Cally snorted her drink as she laughed. I left Jason very red faced.
"You think your funny?" He sneered at me. I grinned and nodded as I stood up. I had some other people attention on me as I saw them smile and snicker. Why do I always attract the bad people?
"I'm on my bridal party." I slurred to Jason as I lifted my left hand, showing them the oversized rock. "And I'm in a very good mood. I feel like sharing." I spoke to anyone that listened.
"You guys are looking at the best barmaid in W.A. She can cut you down quicker than she can pour your beers!" Cally egged me on. I went to the bar and ordered another round, thoughts of leaving long gone.
"You." I spun to the person next to me. He was in his mid fifties and looked like he had only just started his day. Freshly clothed and groomed as he cradled his beer. "Say something smart. Or a joke, or even insult me. Lord knows I can take it. I'm a redhead!" I smiled as I tried to keep my eyes on him.
"Uh..."
"You can do it Kev." I heard another shout out.
I kept my smile on as I waited. "Keep thinking, you might find me at my future grandchild's birthday party." I turned to another bloke and whispered as straight as I could, "can you believe, outta ten thousand sperm, he was the quickest." I winked as I took Cally's drink to her.
I saw her on the phone but took no notice as I went to the bar again for my drink.
"Last one." The bartender told me.
"Okay, sorry, did I drink too much? I don't like to keep things bottled up." I heard a couple chuckles next to me as I leaned on the bar and looked at who was laughing.
"Was that funny?" I grinned at the man next to me. I saw the laughter in his eyes as my smile went wider.
"Sorry, but my wife is a ranga and she has a fiery tongue herself."
I opened my arms up. "Ah! Another Red! Your life mustn't be dull then!"
"Hence why I'm here, so it ain't." I heard him say and I giggled.
"Don't pick on the redheads! We aren't meant to be handled." I sighed playfully at him. I went to the next person and looked him up and down. "You sir, I want to hear what you're thinking."
"That I picked a good day for a beer."
I patted his shoulder. "Please be patient, I'm fucking things up as fast as I can." The boys at the bar grinned and some laughed as they shook there heads. "I'm so sorry if I offend anyone, but you ain't alone, let me get to everyone!"
I took a sip of my drink as I went back to Cally. She was holding her stomach in laughter and I could see the tears running down her face. I let out a long and uncontrollable laugh at the sight.
