"I'm trying, Gav." I spoke through the phone as I walked down the hallway.
"Okay, well, my pub is in your hands."
"They are very capable hands. Trust me."
"See ya soon." Gav said as he hung up. I looked at where I was going. I was in the long hallway and the floor was freshly waxed.
"Alex. Those bottles are empty. What do you want with them?" Bash asked as he poked his head out off a room.
Bottles? Oh, yes, the empty bottles.
I smiled widely. "Go get some socks on!" I hinted as I took the bag of bottles out of the kitchen. Cally came in, looking at me weirdly.
"What are you doing?" She asked me.
"I'm trying to show Bash how to have some cheap fun." I grinned as I went to the hallway. "Get some socks on and I'll show you."
I lined the bottles up like in bowling and walked to my room, pulling on a pair of cotton socks.
I had a lazy day today, lounging around and chatting to Bash and Cally on and off. My attire was definitely not for the rainy outside weather as I pulled down the hem of my tank top. I fixed up my cotton shorts and went to the hallway.
Cally and Bash were standing there, looking at me weirdly.
Bash saw me wearing my socks and smiled. "I get it."
"What?" Cally asked but as she watched Bash put his socks on, she quickly followed.
"We are bowling!" I giggled. "Human bowling." I quickly ran and slid down the hall, knocking over most of the bottles.
I looked back at Cally and Bash weigh a mischievous smile as they looked at each other and copied my grin.
I quickly picked up the bottles and placed them back up right, letting Cally go.
She let out a squeal as she wobbled, sliding down the hall.
"You only got one!" I laughed out at her as Cally slipped and fell. I went to her as she threw her head back, laughing.
"Right, out of the way!" Bash called as he went next.
Cally and I watched as he also wobbled, but managed to get all the bottles down.
"Cheater!" Cally grinned as we put them back up again.
We spent the next hour sliding down the hall, laughing at our own foolishness.
I slid down, my arm knocking a portrait off the wall. "Oops!" I laughed as I fell back to catch it. Bash grinned as he took the painting off me and helped me up.
"Stack 'em up." I told Cally as I went back to the start. We were having so much fun.
I gave myself an extra run up as I slid down the hall, making sure my hands weren't near the walls.
I was laughing as I kept my balance, looking back at Cally and Bash behind me, when their faces changed. I quickly turned to look in front when I felt two hands on my waist, stopping my movements any further down the hall.
I came face to face with Avery as he held on to me. "Avery!" I breathed out.
"What is going on?" He yelled out to the three of us.
"It's my fault." I piped up. I put my hand behind my back, signalling them to leave. "Don't yell at them. I encouraged it." I said sweetly at him.
Avery said nothing as I felt his hands go off my waist. "Someone could have gotten hurt."
