Chapter 7:

Marabella

"I have to kill again," Louis paced back and forth in the torture room, running a hand through his hair.

"There's nobody stopping you from killing me."

"Sweetheart, we've been over this. I can't kill you."

"I don't see why not. You've not had a problem killing countless other people."

"You're different." He snapped, ending the discussion about it there. "But if I go out, I can't just leave you here by yourself and I can't bring another girl back. There's nowhere for her to stay."

He continued to think out loud about how he was going to manage to get his "normal" high from killing while still managing to keep me. Those weren't his exact words, but it's what I got out of it.

"You're coming with me."

"No. I won't have any part of that," I shook my head rather violently at him, his face plastered with his normal menacing smirk. "You can force me to stay here with you and be your human voodoo doll, but you can not and will not force me to help you kill innocent people."

"That's where you're wrong, Bella. You will help me kill the next family and if you don't, I will not hesitate to kill your family. Mother, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, anybody I can find. I'll kill them all and you'll watch it all. Then, right before I kill them, I'll make sure they know that it's your fault they're going to die. Because I'm giving you a choice. You can help me kill, or watch me kill your entire family. Don't test me."

I wasn't sure how to reply to that, so I didn't. I'm completely terrified though. I don't want to kill anyone I've never wanted to kill anyone before. But if I don't do it I'll basically be signing my entire family's death certificates. I have to help him kill people, I have no choice.

"So have you made your decision?" Louis asked, propping his elbows on the metal table I was sitting on.

"Don't kill my family please. I'll do whatever I have to," I pleaded.

"Good, it's settled then. We'll find a family today and tonight we'll go after them. If you listen to what I say, you'll be fine and your family will be safe."

I nodded my head and reached my arms and legs out for him to lock up, then closed my eyes. When I didn't feel him hook my arms up, I opened them and looked at him questioningly.

"Do you want me to leave your hands unlocked? You know, so you can sit up for a little while," he almost whispered. I nodded my head and folded my hands in front of me while he went to the front of the RV. I heard the vehicle start up and we took off.

Louis had been gone from the RV for about an hour now and I was nervously waiting for him to return. I knew better than to try and escape. If he found out that I even thought about it, he'd kill my family. I knew he would and that he wasn't just bluffing, so I wasn't taking any chances.

Minutes later, I heard the RV door open and close and I knew he was back. He's chosen his next target and there's no stopping him or his need to kill now. I wanted to interfere and say something, but now I can't. I have to watch my mouth again because I know he won't kill me now. No, he'll kill everyone I love and keep me alive to suffer through the pain of knowing it's my fault they died.

"Bella, I've found our family. They're the Owens family and there's five of them. Teenage girl, thinks she's hot, just asking to get murdered. Twin boys, maybe elevenish and the parents." Louis explained and unlocked my limbs, letting me sit up and cross my legs. "That's all I know so far, other than where they live of course. We won't have time to learn anything else though, we need to prep for tonight."
