Mateo's POV
"Cut! Great job, guys! One more scene then we can start wrapping up."
A groan automatically made it's way out of my throat upon hearing the director. "Can we take a break? We've been at it all day and night already, I'm pretty sure I'll pass out at any moment if we continue."
The director rolled his eyes at my overexaggerated remark, but proceeded to give me permission nonetheless.
I walked over to the lounge and took a seat on the sofa, sighing heavily as my aching legs finally got to rest.
At the corner of my eye, I see Clifford entering the room, mouth wide open as he yawned rather loudly. Right. I forgot he was here. I might as well give him something to do seeing as he's just been standing around and watching me work all day.
"Hey, mind doing me a favor?" He raised his eyebrow, silently asking me to continue, "I left my script in the trailer, I'd really appreciate it if you go and grab it for me."
He nodded and made his way out while I sat there smirking. 'I'm going easy on you for now, let's see how long you're gonna last, Cliff.'
- Time Skip -
I stared at my watch, impatiently tapping my fingers on my lap.
'It's been over 15 minutes, where the hell did he go? The trailer is merely a 5 minute walk from here, it's not that hard to find either.'
I quickly got up, exiting the lounge and sped towards my trailer. I ran into a worker on the way there, he kept blabbing about how the director needed me back on set but I brushed past him, mumbling something about extending the break's time.
I got there rather quickly, I swung the door open but was met with a sleeping Clifford. Huh. I quietly shut the door behind me and made my way towards him.
"What am I gonna do with you..." I sighed. I'm the one who's been working all day, yet here he is, sleeping as if he hasn't in days.
I plopped onto the floor with my back leaning against the sofa, taking the script from the coffee table. I guess this will do for now.
'Focus. Focus. Focus.' I told myself over and over, trying hard to get the line into my head. I've been staring at the same line for awhile now, stuggling to memorize it.
I set down the script and turned to look at the sleeping figure behind me. I studied his features silently.
"He looks so relaxed..." I mumbled lightly, leaning in closer to get a better look, my face now only a few inches from his.
Then the lights went out.
