Mateo's Point of View

"What do I have next on my schedule, uncle?"

The man on the other line sighed heavily before speaking, "I told you not to call me Uncle during working hours, Mateo. Anyways, we're going to be having a meeting with your new manager in the afternoon, so make sure you're on time."

"Jackson Valentino. 32 , My father's younger brother, otherwise known as my boss in the company. He's the calmest person you'd ever meet, even though he's a total asshole, he's intelligent and has amazing business skills, he's called the director for a reason, and yep, we're related."

I rolled my eyes as he emphasized the fact that I had to be 'on time'. "Well I'm sure you didn't forget but I've told you that I was going to be busy in the afternoon." I said with a smirk appearing on my face.

"See you in the afternoon." He ended the call abruptly, without even listening to a single word I said. 'Seriously?! What crawled up his ass and died? I swear he never fall for my lies.' I scoffed to myself.

Getting involved in an entertainment industry wasn't going to be easy, if you had no connection whatsoever. I had a background, my family was already known as one of the wealthiest people in America, plus my father owned a broadcasting company, so all I had to do was grow up and tell my father that I wanted to be an actor. Although I had my head start, the rest of it were all up to me, I'm talking about years of effort that needed to be put into learning and practicing. As much as I disliked my father, I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of him. It all ended up well anyways.

It's been so long since I had a real manager, my uncle has been my temporary manager for almost a month already, and even though we haven't said anything, we're clearly tired of each other. Oh, and I forgot to point out that he was only managing me through a phone, what a guy am I right?

My last manager resigned due to his health issues, we weren't really that close, mainly because I was an asshole towards him, but he was good at managing my schedules.

I really do hope this new manager of mine isn't some kind of arrogant or "dOes It aLl tHeiR wAy" kind of person.

Wait.

What if he hired a girl?...

Honestly, I doubt he'd do that. *Sigh* My work would be way more interesting if I had a female manager. Ah.. Just thinking about how I could tease her using this charming face of mine excites me.

I realized that I was just smiling into mid-air, I look like an actual psychopath holy sh•t.

----------------------

I arrived at the meeting on time; but before entering I tried to peak through the windows to take a good look on this so-called new manager of mine.

But that wasn't working cause my incredibly nice uncle kept on blocking my view at the most perfect times too. Is he doing this on purpose?

I'll just go in.

I sat on the chair next to my Uncle. "Mateo, This is Clifford."

What'd I expect? After all it's my uncle we're talking about, he's wise enough to know I'd mess around if the manager was a girl.

"Good afternoon Mr. Valentino, I'm Clifford, I'll be your manager from now on." The guy said while letting out a slight smile.

"I get it already, you're Clifford, you don't have to repeat it."

"Mateo, Clifford was just trying to introduce himself properly. Stop being such a child will you?"

I glared at him but knew I couldn't do anything, I just sighed in frustration.
-------------

After about an hour the meeting finally ended.

I told the both of them that I was going to leave first, only cause' they were talking about meetings, programs and film shootings that I had in check, saved myself from hearing about the hell of a week I was going to have.

I left the building and tried to get a hold of my car, "Tried", because a huge crowd simultaneously popped out of nowhere.

Here we go again...

Having fans that appreciate their idols can be really heartwarming to me, but having fans that tug on your clothes or try their best to touch every part of you, is just crossing the line. If I could only reach my car I already would have. But they were all pushing each other like it was the end of the world. Even if I try to deliberately push them away, the media would get involved. I always hated that over-exaggerated news platform.

Well I have no other choice than to wait for security to reach me in this horde.

I felt a tight grab on my arms behind me.

"Mr. Valentino, this way."
